Question about Magellan Roadmate 760 GPS Receiver
My Magellan keeps cutting off as if there is some type of shortage. Is this a known problem with this unit
You can try cleaning the contacts on the back of the GPS that connect to the power dock, with an eraser. Then, brush away the rubber dust from the eraser.

It could also be a problem with the power cord. I replaced my auto power supply cord and the unit powers on and stays on just fine. Now if it could just find the satellite.....

This is a known issue with the power dock on the back. It needs to be replaced.
