Each video source, whether it be a PC or a set-top box, has its own video outputs that can wear out and break over time, causing the picture on your screen to
flicker or otherwise become distorted. Try
turning to different channels and unplugging devices from the
TV to see whether the
flickering is from one of the devices

I got the technician to come and take a look at it, by that time the monitor refused to even turn on. When you hit the power button, all it showed was a blue swirl on the screen, no sound, and you can't switch between the different inputs.
They had to take it to their shop. Although they did get it working after working on it for about 2 weeks, they still couldn't diagnose exactly what was wrong with it.
I've had it back for a little over 3 month now, and it seems to be working fine... knock on wood.
