Question about Canon PIXMA MP780 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Scanning problem Sometimes scanning fails completely, sometimes scanning begins but is not completed. There is no indication that scanning has failed, it just stops. The portion of the image that is scanned goes into memory (in use/memory light comes on) - only way to get rid of it is to switch power off MP780 and try again. At present time, unable to successfully complete a scan of anything. Help please.

The car start, run ,and you can turn it off it take about 30min. Before it start back up.

Consider replacing the crankshaft positioning sensor. A crank sensor is an electronic device used in an internal combustion engine to monitor the position or rotational speed of the crankshaft. This information is used by engine management systems to control ignition system timing and other engine parameters.
The simplest and most obvious symptom of a failing crankshaft position sensor is the blinking "check engine" light in your car.
According to Do It Yourself.com "When the crankshaft position sensor begins to fail, the signal it transmits to the vehicle's computer begins to weaken. If left unattended, the signal will switch off completely. This, in turn, causes the car's spark plugs to die out, killing the engine. If you are having problems starting your car, it could indicate bad crankshaft position sensor".

Of course this may NOT be YOUR problem, but it sounds like it could be, doesn't it?

I can hear my Garmin 660 turn on and off but nothing shows on the sacreen

This indicates that the GPS is operating correctly in that you can hear sound but there is no picture on the screen. The display may be black (not lit) or white. Sometimes the image may be distorted with splotches or lines.

It's most likely, that your LCD display has failed. Sometimes the backlight has failed and the image will be very hard to see. If the LCD has failed completely then you may not see any image on the screen at all.

This is a very fixable problem. Replacing the display will resolve the problem.

An error occurs during installation

The CD Setup wizard will fail to complete the installation or sometimes fail to run at all because antivirus, anti-spyware or PC firewall is blocking the installation process.

To ensure a successful installation from the CD Setup Wizard, make sure all security tools are temporarily disabled before the installation begins. Enable back the antivirus, anti-spyware or software firewall once the installation is completed.

NOTE: If setup still fails to complete, check that you have selected the correct operating system in the setup options. You may also try restarting the computer and reinstalling from the CD if the setup fails to complete the first time. If all else fails, try searching for your device model at http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/ and clicking on Get Downloads to download the latest firmware.

Screen goes completely white. Sometimes during start up, sometimes while downloading. Sometimes just randomly.

That sounds like the screen is failing. If the display is white during the boot process than it is failing. You could replace the display but that is more costly than actually buying a new machine.

Kyocera mita j11 error code

On most Kyocera Mita copiers a J-11 code indicates a possible paper jam when paper is being fed from drawer #1, but sometimes a J-11 will be indicated when the paper fails to feed from the drawer. Check the paper stops and paper guides in the drawer and make sure that they are flush against the paper, also cleaning the paper feed and pick-up rollers with a rag dampened with just plain water will help sometimes unless the rollers are completely worn out. If all this doesn't help you may have a paper feed clutch or lift motor that has failed.

Display panel

Dim display indicates a "failing" electronic oven control. It will continue to get dimmer and dimmer until it fails completely. You need to replace the "clock" (sometimes called the ERC <---Electronic Oven Control)

This is a tricky repair. Be sure you have the power off (at the breaker box) before attempting this.

WAsher not working

FL means 'failed to lock' the door didn't lock, so it didn't complete the cycle. Sometimes it's just because the door didn't shut completely or you may have a bad door latch assembly, or worse case, a bad control board. First try unplugging it for 5 minutes, then try starting another load making sure the door is closed completely, if that doesn't help you'll need to open it up to test the door latch.

Check for a loose bulb or faulty door switch. Sometimes a bulb can fail and the filament can reconnect to work at a higher wattage before failing completely.
