This is directly from the Sony site. Don't know how many pins there are, but if you order the PC2-4200 memory, it will work. Keep in mind that your computer will only accept up to 2gb.

You can take your computer apart and actually take the RAM out and count the pins. Or if you have an electronics store close, you can call them to ask about the type of RAM you need for your upgrade. You will need to have the information about your computer available because they will need to know that info. The tech that you speak to should know if you will need SIMM or DIMM RAM. If you purchase the incorrect RAM it will be a waste of money....most generally electronic stores will not let you return the product if it has been opened.

I do recommend that you upgrade to 1GB of RAM using Windows Vista. If you are a gamer or into videos, I recommend that you upgrade to at least 2GB (gamers are better off with 4GB or higher). If you need any more help just let me know and I will see what I can do. I would also recommend an upgrade on the hard drive...especially with the operating systems that you are running. I have a 120GB hardrive on my laptop and I am running only Vista. I actually needed at least 250GB.
