Unable to Remote Desktop Connect to some machines

Remote Desktop connects but all I see is a blue screen on some machines and other machines works just fine.

    Thanks for your reply but I am not using any VM or other software... just the built in Remote Desktop Connection that is included in Windows. For the most part I connect just fine and other times I connect but only get a blue screen and don't see the other user's screen - sometimes it requires both machines to reboot and that's the only workaround I have found so far.

    Sorrry first time using this site so was unsure exactly how to answer... I wasn't clear in posting my issue, I can mstsc just fine to any other user's machine... IT IS when they send a remote desktop assistance request through Outlook/Exchange server when I sometimes can interact w/the other user's desktop session - it says we're connected and the session is running but all I see is a blue/blank/solid screen.

Sounds like a known grey screen issue that a lot o people see when using RDP to VM;s as well. Is a windows thing, rather than VM I am being told.

    Could be an issue with the TSCALS on the second machine you are connecting to.



    Is there a problem even if you console onto the machine?



    Click on start run and type mstsc /console



    then log in the normal way (RDP box appear)



    You can then run tsadmin and through Admin tools check the licensing options (Ts manager) you have and if the TSCAL has expired. This would also be indicated in the eventlog.



    also some other things we can do after that.

Cant get the cursor to show on screen
Make sure that your Sensor Bar is connected properly and that there is no damage to the wire connect it to the Wii.

You may have to place the Sensor Bar else where and reconfigure it to work again.

It sounds like you are using the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection client for Mac.

  1. Open Remote Desktop Connection
  2. Select the connection you wish to use with both displays
  3. Right-click and choose Edit
  4. Check the "Use all monitors" box at the bottom

Cannot connect via Remote Desktop Connection
due to the open ended nature of the question ... I am assuming you wish to connect to you rpc from another pc using RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) or commonly known as remote desktop.

if connecting on internal network without any firewalls, start RDP and connect via name or ip address to the other computer. Follow the steps highlighted HERE and you can't go wrong for windows 7.
If external ... please note ... ports 3389 should be enabled on your firewall router. As there are plenty of routers/modems on the market, it will be too numerous to mention here, however, it is commonly noted as NAT'ing or Port forwarding to enabled ports 3389 and redirect the link to you local machine on the internal side of the network. from an external network ... just connect to it's public ip address and you shoul dbe able to connect to your internal machine via rdp. good luck ...

Program RDP on your office desktop as well... so you can connect to it remotely...

I connect my B130 to an external display using a vga cable. Both screens work. But I am unable to turn my laptop's screen off using Fn F8
the screen wont go off unless you use a docking station. Once you are docked, you can close the notebook lid and use the machine like a desktop: with all your cables hooked into the station itself.

Unable to edit setting
Hi. You can try the following steps to get this working
1. Uninstall the software.
2. Download viersion 7.7.0 from http://logitech.com/myharmony.
3. Install.
4. Uninstall the Logitech Desktop Messenger.
5. Disable any firewalls you may have on your computer.
6. Run the software, and connect your remote.
7. Click "Replace Remote" to conduct a connectivity check.

Also, ensure that you arte not using a wireless network, and that your remote is connected right to your computer, not through a USB hub.

I see a black screen when I turn thw computer on
The first thing to do is to check the lead from the monitor to the computer is correctly plugged in at both ends.
If this is OK then perhaps you try another monitor, if an other monitor works OK then yours may be broken.
If another monitor does not work then you will need to check your computer hardware and software.

Hey I found the solution.
Reinstall Soho Notes but on the screen after accepting the license is a button marked cutstomize. Click on that and then make sure the database box is checked. Finish the installation and restart your machine. It worked for me

Linksys Wireless-G PCI Card unable to connect.
Couple of things to check ;
1. Do you have any electronic device close to the wireless device (e.g. a T.V, fridge, a Thermostat, Music system {F.M}, an A.C, Microwave) etc. they cause distraction on your wireless signals.
2. Is there any other wireless device running parallely on your machine (e.g wireless headphone , Blue tooth device, etc), they cause interference.
3. Try the card on a friends machine & see if gives the same kinda intermmitancy .. the card can go bad as well .. you never know
