Removal of front panel HE3 kenmore washer

My washer is leaking from the soak dispenser side of the machine. When soaking up the water I discovered it is bleach that is leaking with water. How do I get the front cover off and the control panel? I have the bottom peice of the front panel off I no longer have a warranty and hope to fix the machine myself. The Water and electricity have been disconnected:)

I have a Kenmore He2 washer. Yesterday I heard a grinding noise coming from the detergent compartment. The noise continued after cleaning the tray so I tried cleaning the inside where the tray goes. Another sight suggested moving around a plastic piece that is found on top and to the back of where the detergent compartment slides in. I did this to stop the F30 error and I neglected to view this piece and its correct positioning before turning. Now I'm worried I may have disconnected the hose from the hole on the very back of the compartment. When looking down into the tray holder the piece with the wider opening faces me and the side with the little hose is towards the back but not connected to the little hole.

If you could let me know whether the position of this piece is correct or if I need to hook something I would greatly appreciate your help.

    Thank you for your time,

    Sonya

Follow these steps: 1. Remove the three screws in the back of the machine that holds the top of the washer on. The top case should slide back and then lift off. 2. With the dispenser tray off, remove the torx screw behind it. 3. Now take a putty knife and gently place it under the console just above the door. Gently lift up and pull the console from the left hand side first. It should gradually pop off. Be careful not to damage any of the wire connectors. Lay the console across the top of the washer. 4. Remove door by removing the hinge screws. Support the door while loosening so that it doesn't fall. 5. Feel around behind the rubber door boot at the door opening. There will be a wire retaining hoop holding the rubber boot to the door frame. Find the tension spring at the bottom of the door and pull the hoop out of the groove. 6. Pull door boot off the door frame opening and push it inside the drum. DO NOT remove the boot from the wash tub. 7. Remove the three screws holding the door latch assembly to the front of the washer. 8. The only thing left holding the front of the washer on is four screws. One on each corner at the top and one on each corner at the bottom. Once you remove the last four screws the front of the washer will come right off. I now this seems very involved, but it is simple if you follow the steps given. Reassemble everything in reverse order. Use care when handling the wire harness of the console and the door. Make sure you put the door latch assembly back on FIRST before you reinstall the rubber boot. When reinstalling the door boot reseat the gasket all the way around the door frame first. Then take the wire hoop and reinsert in the groove starting at the 12 o'clock position and work your way around to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions. You might want to have a second person assist you with holding the hoop in place at this point. With tension holding the hoop into the groove, take the remaining portion of the wire hoop and pull down while spreading the tension spring apart to snap it back into place along the bottom of the door. This will be your greatest challenge. The console will snap back into place by inserting the bottom edge first then snapping the top into place. Let me know if you need further assistance. I hope this helps you.

Kenmore He 3 model 11042832200 water leaking from the dispenser and draining down the outside of the washer. Water drains into washer fine when the dispenser cup is not in place, so there doesn't...

If you take the top off, you can see the whole part called the dispenser, https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/11042832200/0583/0153200.html
Check all the hoses etc. Yes you can even run the machine with the top off and see where the leak is. To take the top off there are three screws in the back at the top and when you remove those, the whole top lifts a slides back and comes off.

Stinky clothes

I have the same problem - the clothes smell like they have been left in there for a week - stale or moldy.

It only happens with dark clothes - I have started adding color safe bleach or oxy clean and sometimes a tiny spash of bleach - it seems to have solved it.

Water Building up Inside Front Load Washer when not in use

Okay, it is normal to hear water sloshing around inside the wash tub when the washer is not in use. A small amount of residual water remains in the wash tub under the wash basket (stainless steel tub), and resides in the drain line and drain pump. That's why it is important to keep the door slightly open when not in use to allow the drum to air out. The water will not evaporate, but it will help reduce the build up of odors, mold and mildew.

Now...if your washer is slowly accumulating water in the wash basket area over time, your water inlet valve is probably starting to fail. The leak can be very subtle and you may not notice it. The water only comes from one source - the fill valve via the dispenser. If you wish to replace it, the part is available at searspartsdirect.com. Just type in your model number and the part you need can be found under the "Dispenser" heading as item number 1. The replacement is very simple if you follow these steps:

1. UNPLUG the washer and turn off water supply.
2. Remove both fill hoses.
3. Remove the top panel of the washer by removing the screws that hold the panel in place in the rear of the washer.
4. Slide the top panel back, then it lifts off.
5. The water inlet valve is located in the left rear of the washer as facing from the front.
6. Remove the rubber hose leading from the valve and the electrical connections.
7. Remove the mounting screws holding the inlet valve in place.
8. Re-install new valve using these steps inthe reverse order given.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you have further questions, please post back and let me know.

Getting around the way the boards are pre-programmed is not something they write into the manuals or even make programable. If you want to soak with more bleach, open the dispenser drawer after the unit has filled and add a bleach/ water miture to the soap area of the dispenser. This will let it run into the machine and will get you more bleach in there.
