Question about Brother IntelliFAX 4100 Laser Fax
The screen says paper jam and to lift tray and remove the paper but i have looked all over and i cannot find anything jammed up on the machine. My toner was low but id hate to buy an all new toner if the machine is shot. Ive tried unplugging it for a period of time but right when i plug it back in it says paper jam again. It will not copy, i can scan papers as you would when you send a fax though.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks Sean
Not just if the flags are moving freely but the sensors can also be dirty. Clean the sensors with a blower brush or can of air. If you use an air can DO NOT pull the trigger all the way, only fire at about half or you could damage the sensor.

There are a couple of sensors that read paper paper jams. Below the toner/drum asm check to see if the little black flags are moving freely. In the rear, open the door and check the flag in the fuser.
