Question about Toshiba TP43H95 43" Rear Projection Television
HAVING A PICTURE PROBLEM. I TURN ON THE TV AND IT WORKS FOR A WHILE, SOMETIMES A FEW HOURS SOMETIMES LESS THEN THE PICTURE TURNS OFF BUT THE SOUND REMAINS. THEN I WILL TURN IT OFF FOR A WHILE THEN TURN IT BACK ON AND AGAIN SOMETIMES AN HOUR LESS OR MORE BUT THE PICTURE WILL TURN OFF. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN FIX IT CHEAP OR IF WOULD IT BETTER JUST TO BUY A NEW ONE. THANK YOU, PHIL

Take out the bulb (back left hatch door) look to see if the element inside the bulb is broken or blackened - (replace bulb) if the bulb looks OK then it's the ballast that fires the bulb (service call).

I actually found the solution, my manaul for the TV was missing a couple pages, very weird. I found the full manual online and there is a chart that shows what the blinking lights mean. Thanks for all of the responses.

You say it's a DLP yet the model number shows as a standard projection, anyway what you seem to have is a Hyper board problem, many shops can repair this Fragile board but it's not for the weekend tv tech to try to do

You will need to trouble shoot the start up and shutdown circuits. Often this is a minor component failing causing the set to not power up or go into protective shutdown. Do you have the service manual for this TV?
