Question about Smeg 24 in. DWD1SSE-1 Built-in Dishwasher

Dishwasher won't start

When i turn my dishwasher on, it sounds as though it is going to work but suddenly stops after about 1 second. You can hear what sounds like the motor beginning to kick in and then it stops and you hear a quick swoosh of water if you put your ear to the base of the dishwasher. I have checked for power, cleaned the filter inside and tried the tip on how to start a stalled dishwasher but it is still not working. I have had the dishwasher out and unscrewed various parts of it to try and get to the motor but was afraid to go any further in case i forgot how to put everything back together again. Have you any suggestions or will i have to get a repairman out. Thanks.

Hi
WE give this answer in good faith that anybody who benefits from it will make a donation to COMIC RELIEF, because I've just fixed my smeg d/w which is a great relief and no joke when not working,
SO DONATE.
My dishwasher tried to start but would not ,it tried but could not, the panel showed no fault.
The fault was caused by the failure of the solinoid (electric magnet) which opens the soap dispenser mechanism, located inside the door. I used an electric light up screw drive (from £ shop) which glows when you touch the end, to test the solioid, you could also use a multi meter though not as reliable.
We replace solinoid, (Common solinoid from any appliance repair shop) but I note on ebay there is a dishwasher guy selling the complete dispenser unit with new solinoid fitted.
Hope this helps( we have just had our first wash)
Do not forget to donate

P.S. Sorry I can not remember how to spell solinoid (electro magnet)

Try Putting it into DFU mode and restoring it. While plugged in, hold the power and home button together, let go of power button after 10 seconds and keep holding home button.

Samsung Dishwasher (DMR57LFS): Error code oE. Fills...fills some more...then drains.

Samsung Dishwasher 0E Error - We had other appliances on that circuit. We believe when those appliances were turned on it created an undervoltage condition in the dishwasher, causing another sensor to send the high level error code 0E. We believe this is the problem because it only started after we added the new hot water dispenser on the same circuit. The problem went away when we leave it off for the whole dishwasher cycle. I'm guessing it could also be caused by brown-outs and other large electrical loads cycling in the same household. That's the theory anyway. The folks who sold us the dishwasher suggested turning off the breaker, to reset the computer. Good idea, but not for our particular case.

Try pouring water from the front. The pump has got air traps inside. This will ease your problem.

Also check whether the spray arm turns freely without any obstacles.

How to Disconnect Windshield Wiper Motor in 1971 Beetle?

Some car require that the wipers go to full rest befors the electric is turned off. Sounds like they are stuck and the car does not like it. Find the fuse to the wipers and pull. But the motor seems to be bad and gave up.

Has the water drained by the time the dishwasher powers off?
The clicking sound is probably the (failed) pump motor and will require a service call or replacement of the unit.

Very Loud Motor

changing the motor will fix the problem.they are really easy to change.
the motor lies under the main filter.Just un clip it and check for broken glass.
The first thing I do when I hear a noisey motor is change it.(new or second hand?
Now its two parts to the motor, you want to change the part that pumps the water around and also reverse to drain.
Its located under the spray arm.
