Re: Crappy computer

The solution on the cd disc is to remove the cd out then uninstall the all games installed in this cd drive replace cd drive when it comes to uninstalling sim delux is goto where saved games in sim deluxe and save folder to a different location then uninstall then re-install with new cd drive and hunt net for nc patches for games that work if this still doesn't work time for re-install windows from scratch if you have a spare hard drive use it to copy all game saves to it then redo windows and all drivers then all games then place saves back into place where they came from. good luck.

Play online and Windows version will be handled by the web site. It does not matter which windows version you are using. The game runs by the engine on the web site.

I have movies on dvd, i have a dvd rom in my pc,i go to my computer and click on the dvd to play and it doesnt play, windows media player comes on like its loading but nothinh happens

What operating system do you have? If you have Vista, you may be missing the codec you need. I'd recommend getting Intervideo WinDVD or something similar for watching DVDs. You'll have much more control and a better viewing experience than using Microsoft's crappy player.

download a GPU monitoring tool here..

check the temps for your video card... if it exceeds 55-60 degrees celcius. its probably heating up. try to upgrade the GPU cooling. "Palit, inno3d, galaxy" these brands usually has crappy cooling systems for their cards. Plus, the nvidia 9800 series is known to produce alot of heat.

I've had a similar problem like yours... I've had a 9800GT inno3d.. it has a crappy cooling system to i had to buy it a zalman graphics card cooling system. It solved the problem...

The game you are trying to play does not support your graphics card or ther is a problem
with your graphics driver. To be sure, try uninstalling the graphics driver and then
reinstall it again. Then try to run your game again.
Also make sure that your antivirus is not blocking the games

Think of the following solution:
1.Make sure your operating system is windows vista when playing vista games otherwise it will have a problem.
2.Make sure your video card is 512mb or higher when using windows vista operating otherwise it will cause a problem.
2. Make sure you have a correct of driver of your video card. If you're not sure download it and install it again on you computer.

okay try this
Go to your My computer icon--right click on it
properties-->hardware-->device manager
Find ur cd/dvd drive on it
Uninstall it by right clicking it (dont get scared ur system will detect it itself in next reboot and u dont need any drivers for it)
hope it will works if there is no physical damage
