Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player Logo

My Phillips MP3 Player hangs

I've had this player for a while now, but it just recently stopped working. When I try to power it on I just get the phillips logo and then it powers off (checked the batteries, it's not that, removing them doesn't help either). I tried to update it's firmware with the phillips device manager by connecting it with my pc, but when I do so no device shows up as connected to my usb port(it was working before) and the player freezes on "ok to disconnect". I can't find any reset switch and removing batteries doesn't help.

To reload drivers:
WARNING: this process will erase all songs off the GoGear.
Disconnect the GoGear from computer.
Turn the GoGear off.
Hold in the volume + button.
Reconnect the GoGear while holding in the volume + button.
Continue holding the volume + button.
After 5-50 seconds, Windows will pop-up a "Found New Hardware Wizard." - complete the wizard (BTW, you can take your hand ff the volume + button now).
Good To Go (Gear)!

SOURCE: Need to reset phillips gogear

Your player might hang up. Use a pen tip or other sharp object to insert the RESET hole gently on the side of the player and connect it again to your PC.

If it is still not recognized, your player may be at fault. Try the Philips Device Manager software and repair device with it.
Contents will be removed by using the repair function.
How to do it is described on the manufacturer's web site here:

ION Profile LP Vinyl-to-MP3 Turntable, tone arm won't drop

I've got the same problem. When you put therecord on, spin it from the centre, and it will release the mechanism inside, this is what I do, and it works fine. I think the problem is that there are twoplates under the turntable, and there was grease between them, after a few goesthe grease disappears, causing the problem.

Hello experts! How do I convert movies from WMV to the format supported by a Phillips Gogear vibe Mp3 player(smv), without downloading any foreign software? What can Rhapsody do, if anything?

You can't. You need to install a program that can convert video files to another format to another that suits your MP3 player.
There are commercial programs as well as freeware programs on the Internet.
I suggest you Google search for these programs.
