Erroneous communication between the DC controller PCB and image processor PCB was detected.
- Check the connectors of the DC controller PCB and image processor PCB.
Replace the DC controller PCB for normal connection. - Replace the image processor PCB.

Fixing temperature abnormal rise
The temperature detected by the main thermistor does not rise to the specified value during startup control.
1.Go through the following to clear the error: CLEAR > ENGIN > ERRCLR; and then turn OFF and then ON the power. 2.Check connection of the Connectors (Thermistor Connector and AC Connector). 3.Replace the Fixing Main Thermistor (Film Unit). 4.Replace the Fixing Assembly. 5.Replace the DC Controller PCB (PCB4).
When there is a short-circuit detection error in the halogen heater (ASIC detection)
Check the connection of the J114 jack of the AC driver PCB, and replace the AC driver PCB (triac short).
Replace the Pressure heater.
Replace the Fixing unit.
The 24V output from the composite main power supply PCB is absent for 1 sec or more
The wiring is faulty (short circuit, open circuit). The composite power supply PCB is faulty. The DC controller PCB is faulty.
1. Connectors Are the connectors J204 on the main power supply PCB and the connector J300 on the DC controller PCB connected securely? NO: Connect the connectors securely. 2. Main power supply PCB Is 24 V supplied by the main power supply PCB (J204) to the DC controller PCB (J300)? (J204-5 <-> J300-5: OVU3, J204-6 <-> J300-6: OVU3, J204-7 <-> J300-7: 24VU3, J204-8 <-> J300-8: 24VU3) NO: Replace the main power supply PCB. YES: Replace the DC controller PCB.

E002 0000 The temperature of the fixing film is as follows: 1. has exceeded 100°C, but does not reach 115°C within 1 sec thereafter. 2. has exceeded 140°C, but does not reach 150°C within 1 sec thereafter. 3. has exceeded 160°C, but does not reach 165°C within 1 sec thereafter.
Main cause: The fixing film unit is faulty (i.e., the main thermistor TH1 has poor contact, or the fixing heater is faulty). The main power supply PCB is faulty. The DC controller PCB is faulty.
Caution: To clear the error, execute the following in service mode: COPIER>FUNCTION>FCLEAR>ERR.
Action See the description for E003.

Is the problem corrected? YES: End. NO: Replace the DC controller PCB.
E004 The main thermistor (TH1) has an open circuit or has poor contact. The sub thermistor (TH2) has an open circuit or has poor contact. The thermal switch (TGP1) has an open circuit. The main heater (H1)/sub heater (H2) has an open circuit. The AC driver PCB is faulty. The DC controller PCB is faulty.
E004 0001 protection circuit error of the fixing unit
Description: A short-circuit is detected in the triac (for 1 sec or more continuously) while the heater remains off (hardware detection) for 40 msec continuously.
Remedy: Turn off and then on the main power supply.
