Curve 8900 internal membrane!

the area under the track ball can cause this issue if itget's wet. Cleaning that area with a brush can sometime get it upand running again. Ifyou're out of warranty try to remove the trackball and clean the areabelow it if you see any residue from the water. There is a Blackberry Repair Guidethat shows how to open a Blackberry and remove the track ball yourself. Pretty much just pry the chrome ring off and take the track ball out.

Your going to have to get a whole new phone. Phones aren't cars You can't just buy parts for them. Good Luck Though!

Of course there are replacement parts for Blackberry, I´ve fixed 3 of them, a Pearl, a Curve and a Bold and I´ve been able to get the parts on eBay o other online supplier. They are very easy to disassemble and the parts are often interchangeable.
Don´t worry about the warranty, once the phone gets wet the warranty is void.
Don´t give up!

ok first off the membrane may not be replacble but it can be fixed
use the back side of an old cell phone keypad. it has a metal surface.
Attach with scotch tape (very smal piece you wil need to cut) like blackberry did, and you can use.

Dont ever say you cannot fix it cause it is jsut china junk and Americans alway fix their puter board for years.

Beats the hell out of buying anothewr.


FYI the engineering in the BBerry 9000 Bole is inferior china junk This will be a short life cheezy phone but it works when it works great.
