I just bought this 3 handset DECT phone from Uniden. When the answering machine answers, it sends out a FAX tone! The answering greeting plays but it is drowned out by the FAX tone. Phone works for receiving and making calls. I have moved the base to another location and also reset the base per Uniden website instructions but the problem continues. Please help.

Try disconnecting the power from the back of the base. Then press and hold the delete key while reconnecting the power. When power comes back on press play one time. If that does not work, your unit needs to be replaced.
