I had an at&t motorola phone and I use tmobile. I called at&t tech support and explained to them that I had mistakenly gotten the phone and could they help me make it work with my carrier since I was under contract. The at&t tech not only gave me the unlock code but walked me through the process of getting it to work with tmobile. Sometimes it's just that easy I guess. Try calling the original carrier's tech support and explaining to them that you can't get it to work with your carrier... worst case scenario is they tell you no (: . There are a lot of inexpensive unlock services out there (some that are rediculously expensive too.) and there are walkthroughs on unlocking or flashing on youtube. I know this doesn't help completely but find your Imei number and give it a whirl. - It worked for me

us cellular is a cdma service and tmobile is gsm. You cant use tmobile even you unlocked your mobile. so try it with some other cdma services...
