If you opened and unable to find the switch, then the switch might be snapped, or the sw slider was not aligned to the sw itself. you can find it by aligning the sw slider of the back cover to the main board, its a very small switch soldered on the board near the upper portion of the LCD panel. If you find it, slide it to leftmost, at the same time, move also to the leftmost the sw slider at the back cover. Assemble it carefully, thanks

I can't use the video or view the picture on the screen

The D50 doesn't shoot video. It also doesn't have a Live View mode so you can't preview pictures on the screen. The screen is used for menus and image review.

Mode switch has broken off and the camera screen says no image

it probably remained locked on the viewer and there are no images capture stored into the camera ..that's why it says that ....and it must be a way to restore the function of that button cause no matter if you lock it permanently into the the shooting mode its still a issue of getting pics out of it ....most cameras have to be on viewing mode when are plugged on the data cable ...but ..if you can open it and switch it on the mode that allow you to take can always get the pictures from the SD card directly via an card reader ...adapter ( USB) that cost only a few dollars...

Black screen for Shooting Canon S3 IS

I have a similar problem with my Canon S3 IS. Dark/black LCD in Shooting mode. However, I can view my existing photos in Display mode. I was about to spend money to get a Panasonic TZ5. Somehow I bumped into a solution post for S2 IS. Here is the link:

I tried their solutions twice and it WORKS. My S3 is working fine now.

Hello, i have ViviCam8370 Vivitar webcam... All the time when im deleting my picture in the camera, why my camera is switching off then? what i should do, i cant find or i dont understand what i should...

If this has always happened in your camera, then it is a Bad feature of the camera.  Some cameras dont switch back to the shooting mode after deleting or reviewing pictures.  Try a higher model camera from the same manufacturer to see if they all do it.  Good luck, and dont forget to rate me, or ask for more help NGK

Unresponsive buttons because of engaged zoom

the reason why the lens zooms out is because the zoom switch is faulty and might need replacing. The way to tell this is when you switch it on in camera mode you will see the zoom bar displays on the lcd and stays there.

How to delete a picture

Slide the upper-right slide switch down to put the camera in picture review mode. Press right or left on the circular switch to find the particular picture you want to delete. Then press the upper left "trashcan" button to delete.

To erase ALL the pictures, leave the camera in picture review mode and press the menu button. The erase command should be around the fourth item listed in the menu that pops up.

When done, don't forget to slide the upper-right switch up to put the camera back in picture taking mode.

Last picture preview

the fix should be in the set-up menu. Look through for "post-view", which should control whether the image stays on the LCD after you shoot, and for how long.
