Problem for Hunter Ceiling Fan Control Switch

The remote works the fan but wont turn off lights.

The fan was already installed when we purchased the house, so I do not have the model number. It is a hunter fan, five blade and the remote part # is 85095-01. The remote works the fan portion perfectly but will not turn off or dim the lights. Any ideas? We already checked out the battery and it is still good....
