Casio XG-3 problem

Yes, I have seen this kind of problem before in gear which has had a battery
left in it, shall we say, "A bit too long"  Try taking the battery out and
CAREFULLY cleaning away any corrosion on the contacts, especially the negative
contact (Spring if any) and see if this helps  Note CAREFULLY
