Problem for HP Compaq FP5315 (Black, Silver) 15" LCD Monitor

Monitor goes black after 5 seconds but has power.

I have an NU plasma monitor. model No: QL-711V the screen goes black. I push the power button and the screen comes back on again but only for 5 sec.The power off options in the screen saver are all set to never. I reinstalled the videocard drivers and still have the same problem. I don't know what more I can do. Could you please give me some help with this problem.

is it LCD or Plasma, If it's 15 inch, it's not a plasma, but lets be sure first

Power Supply inside the monitor is bad, needs replaced. Compare cost of replace or repair. Usually best to just go get a new monitor.
