Question about Metz 58 AF-1 FLASH f/NIKON TTL Flash
My metz 58 has broken after only 4 months, two small commercial jobs plus six weddings - no I haven't dropped or knocked it but the flash tube has broken, has anyone else had this problem? I look forward to hearing from anyone who as had this problem! Thanks, JKay
Depending on how old the flash is.. I know that there was a production of faulty flash tubes that were issued in the units.. There was a change to a new manufacture/better quality flash tube than was installed originally.
Not that Metz made the mistake.. the manufactuter of the flashtube wasnt careful in their standards. Replaced tubes have been A-Ok in the units I have seen been replaced.

Take out batteries
Put in 4 new Energizer Lit. Bat in.
Turn on flash
Wait for the ready ready, fully charged
Press the test button out.
Flash should be able to be fired.
