- What game is it you are trying to play and what is the make and model of your computer. Also os and did you modify the system at all. If I have this info I can better answer your question.

To solve your problem you need to check if the game software is compatible with your hardware, like your processor, video and sound. The way to do this is to check the back of the CD casing of the game or manual for compatibility.

Another possibility is that, If the game is very high video resolution it could slow down the processor unit or over heat it, you may have to reduce it by going to the game settings.

Also try getting a better cooling system (fan or liquid cooler) and upgrade your system memory and others
