Re: My ipod nano will not sync my new music

If you have the second generation ipod nano the in itunes when your ipod connects it will have a picture icon n the margin with e.g ellas ipo or whatever you have named it. if you click onto that icon then a screen with your colour ipod will come up and the screen will be divided into three sections discretely but still on one page just threerows which are named as followed :IPOD VERSION OPTIONS IN THE OPTIONS SECTION UNCLICK MANUALLY MANAGE MUSIC IF YOU WANT ALL THE SONGAS FROM YOUR ITUNES MUSIC LIBRARY TRANSFERED TO YOUR IPOD. AGRRE TO THE LITTLE TCK BOX QUESTIONS( BE SURE TO READ THEM FIRST) AND THEN SYNC YOUR IPOD AND THEN ANOTHER TICK BOX QUESTION WILL COME UP SAYING SOMETHING LIKE AGREE TO TERMS AND CHANGES CLICK YES AND THEN TRY SYNCRONISING YOUR IPOD AND HOPEFULLY THE SONGS IN YOUR ITUNES LIBRARY WILL BE ON YOUR IPOD IF THATS HOW YOU WANT IT ! SORRY IF THIS DOESNT HELP I TRIED!:) xXx.zeddy.xXx

Re: My ipod nano will not sync my new music

Are you using iTunes, if so make sure under the ipod preferences you have selected auto-sync If yr comp's a mac once u have connected the ipod you can just drop and drag Also it might be the version of iTunes yr using, I'd suggest d/l'ing the latest. Last but not least, you haven't left it locked it by any chance : )

Charge an iPod Nano Without a Charger
If you've misplaced or broken the charger that came with your iPod Nano, you might think you need to purchase a new one in order to continue using your Mp3 player.
However, there is a way that you can continue enjoying your iPod without having to purchase a new charger.
As long as you have a USB cord and a computer, you can charge your iPod without having the charger.

Locate the USB cord that came with your iPod Nano package.
It is the same cord that you use in order to sync or transfer music.
Plug the small end into your iPod Nano.

Plug the other, larger end into your computer's USB port.
Choose "Do Nothing" when your computer presents the dialogue box to let you choose what to do with the hardware or USB connection.
Leave your Nano plugged into your computer for at least 4 hours to charge.
Unplug your iPod Nano when charging is complete.
Charge an iPod Without the Charger
Many iPod owners purchase a charging unit that plugs into a standard wall outlet to recharge the iPod's battery.
However, the iPod wall charger is not included with new purchases, so consumers must either purchase a separate charger or find a way to charge their iPod using other means.
Here's a simple method to charge your iPod using your computer.

Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod.
Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC computer.

Open the iTunes program by clicking on the icon in the Dock on a Mac or using the Start menu on a PC.
Click on the name of your iPod under the "Devices" heading in the main iTunes window.
Click on the "Sync" button to synchronize your iPod with your computer data.
While the iPod is syncing, the power from the USB port on your computer will charge your iPod's battery.

Unplug your iPod from the computer once the battery is fully charged. - view=detail&id=8DEA58C0DAF392E29FCB03D9C
This one should be ok.

Open iTunes (without iPod connected). Create a new playlist and copy songs you want on your iPod into that list. Next connect your iPod. Once iTunes recognizes your iPod then go to the music tab and click on 'sync playlist only' and chose the new playlist that you created. Click sync. Only the songs in your new playlist should be copied to your iPod.

Getting music directly off Ipod nano 2gig

When you plug the iPod into the computer, a window may or may not pop up, depending on what you told Windows to do with the player the first time you connected it. If the window does not pop up automatically, double-click My Computer, double-click the icon of the iPod, and you should see a folder that says Music. If this folder is missing, that may explain your symptoms. Right click a blank area of the Nano window, and select New --> Folder --> and create a folder named "Music". Try syncing again, and see if it works.
