well get the firmware reflash on the phone and next time when u connect it to the pc via usb cable you will remove it the correct way.....take the phone to a mobile service center and have them reflash it for a small fee.
Had the same issue and my phone was under warranty. Sent it back and got a new phone, but the problem continued. Turned out, the memory card was bad. Nothing wrong with the phone. Try using a different memory card (card is in a slot on the right side of the phone, next to the keypad) and see if that works.
the problem with the slvr is iTunes gets in the way when you connect it to your laptop or PC. You need to turn off iTunes in order to connect to the Motorola Phone tools that is installed on your system. If your Phone did not come with motophone tools then buy it at this web site or ask for it at the cell phone store you got your slvr.
Disconnect the USB cable from your Motorola phone featuring iTunes, Wait 10 seconds & Reconnect the USB cable to the phone (it will confirm the connection with a tone). Again Wait 10 seconds, then open iSync and try syncing again. If the issue continues, turn your Motorola phone featuring iTunes off and then back on. Then open iSync and try syncing again.
I am pretty sure you need to use Itunes software, because Windows Media Player is not a compatible software Itunes. So I suggest you use these instructions:
1. Install Itunes on you computer via the disk that came with your phone or via internet on the Itunes website.
2. Transfer all of your music to Itunes( it is pretty easy) when Itunes is installed a window should pop up stating if you would like Itunes to import all music. ( IF NO WINDOW POPS UP THEN DO IT THIS WAY)
2b.While Itunes is open follow this procedure click
Scroll to Import or Add Folder to Library
Repeat till all music upload this will take a bit longer , but you can now be able to use your phone.
