HOW CAN I RESET THE BIOS ON M7VIZ MOTHERBOARD?  There is no video and this is the last thing I know to do.  I took the video card out and plugged in to the onboard video, I have tried a new video card and all I get is a black screen.  I just replace the motherboard but it may be bad.  I'm kind of at a loss as to where to go next.

Thanks, I found it.  It did not fix the problem but I determined the new motherboard is fried so will send it back.

    Thank you

You mean reset the CMOS? There may be a jumper to go back to factory defauts. Flashing the BIOS is not what you want to do at this point. Get out your motherboard manual and look for a jumper on the board to reset the CMOS.

Nothing can be seen on the monitor, I took it all apart to clean, yes, even the CPU, i accidentally bent one of the pegs, but I bent it back, so it fit in the holder right. I am pretty sure that I plugged...

Monitor not seeing anything is one of many things. Overclocking is one. if youve overclocked(or just to be safe), remove the battery on your motherboard and place it back in after 30 seconds to reset the BIOS, see if that works. if not, check your video card. if its onboard video, its probably now broken and you need an offboard video card to work. Pins on CPUs get bent all the time, this isnt the problem as long as you didnt physically break it off. Check the monitor on another PC. Hope this helps

Monitor comes on only at the welcome screen

Sounds like a video card issue. But just to rule it out, try plugging the computer into a different monitor.

If it shows video, then it has something to do with your current monitor.

If it gives you the same problem, I would reseat the video card (if it's not embedded).

As a last ditch option, you could reset the bios on the motherboard via a reset button or pins.

No display on the screen and beep.

hi, i am pretty sure this is a bios problem! but it could be video card or monitor. put it all back the way it was-when it worked-then reset the bios-unplug the pc-take out the battery.(about the size of a coin) there should be a three prong jumper, near the battery-and move it to the two prongs that has not had the jumper on it-then push the power button- this is to discharge the power that will be stored in any components on the motherboard- the pc is must be unpluged- then wait 60 seconds and put the jumper back and the battery(see if the battery is dead first) new ones are about 4 bucks, and they last a long time. then boot up the pc!-you should also set the bios at the correct values, as it will use default settings. some hp and others default settings are fine. on custom pc's setting values will need to be set for optimal settings, for the particular hardware. if this fails, try a new video card and check the monitor also. if you know the model # and brand, you can go to the website, then download the manual. this will show you the location of everything i told you to look for. if you need further help, reply. please rate this solution. good luck! one last thought motherboards can fail, from any number of things. hope this is not the case on yours.

Monitor shut off, no BIOS post, no keyboard or mouse lights, will not boot

Try another (Known good monitor). Or try you're monitor on another system.
Remove all memory except 1 DIMM. Double check all data cables (internally) & power cables. Remove the added video card. Try booting the system. Watch for the case LEDs to flash/blink, listen for hard drive spin up /cd-rom spin up. Lastly pull the battery & check with a volt meter. Bios battery should test no less than 3 volts. Post the correct MD rev.

No display at post

There are a few things that can cause no display on the monitor.
That single beep means POST = Power On Self Test. Post has tested everything on you're board to be good.
The cable between video card & monitor may be bad or not connected correctly (Swap out the cable as last resort).
2. You're monitor is defective, try swapping it with known working monitor.
3. You're video card is not functioning.
Lastly, when you reset the system cmos/bios everything went back to default. This means you're bios is now using the onboard PCI video graphics. Remove you're radeon 9600 video card. Try booting the system. You should see display again. The only way to test you're radeon would be to boot to the bios & set bios to boot using the AGP radeon. You need to change Init Display First to AGP & not PCI. If you loose video than you know you're AGP card is bad. Reset the cmos/bios before adding another AGP card or you will not get display. This setting is on pg 3-5. Integrated Peripherals. If you need you're manual you can download it from this link: http://www.abit.com.tw/page/en/motherboard/motherboard_detail.php?pMODEL_NAME=NF7-S2G&fMTYPE=Socket+A

Good Luck!

How to rewire my mother board

Ok so from what I have read you want to rebuild your computer by putting in the old mobo back in? If that isn't what's going on then I am sorry this won't help much.
http://www.wikihow.com/Install-a-Motherboard
There are some little Brass stubs that come with most cases. They have a threaded pole on one side and a threaded hoel on the other. You need to make sure that they are lined up with the screw holes on the motherboard. ONLY USE AS MANY LITTLE BRASS THINGS AS THERE ARE SCREW HOLES IN YOUR MOBO. These act as grounds for the mobo. AND DO NOT PLUG IN THE POWER TO THE MOTHERBOARD UNTIL YOU HAVE SECURED ALL OF THE SCREWS INTO TEH BRASS NUBS. IF YOU DO PLUG IT IN AND TURN IT ON BEFORE THEN IT WILL FRY THE MOTHER BOARD. Sorry about the capslock but I really need to stress those points. Hope that helps
