Question about Maytag SAV5701A Top Load Washer
The lid was wrenched off the washer by one of my kids. I put the ball bearings back on the corners and slid it back into place-- no big deal. However, now the machine won't work at all... with the exception of about five minutes of spinning on only one of the cycles. What in the world could be wrong? I've checked the water supply, circuit breaker and everything else that came to mind. Help please... my kids have the stomach flu! Gross!
It sound like a lid switch issue. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. You have to raise the top of the washer to get to the switch. Look if it is not broken, moved from its place or has a lose wire. If it's defective, it should be replaced. Be aware you should plug out washer's power cable first ! Good luck!
