- I have the same problem. I have checked all aspects of the humidifier, including the power up to the motor. Everything checks good, but the motor no longer turns. Sears claims the part no longer exists.- FD ChiefSolution #1

It`s pretty expensive but Appliance Factory Parts has the same motor except at 24 volt and you have to use the gear from your old unit and a step down transformer..as yours is 115 volt..
Around $80 as they will combine the shipping if you call them..
Local electric motor shop repaired my 1994 motor for $35 after I explained to them I could not find a replacement..
I talked to Sears repair service man, he said our units are too expensive to produce today but are better than these new high flow models they use allot of water that just goes down your drain..
