Question about GE WPGT9350C Top Load Washer

1 Answer

PLEASE HELP! The problem is that my washer has filled with water in preparation of washing a load of clothes and then quits. The words "Notice! A problem has been detected with this unit" appears && continuously beeps. The only button that will work is the Power button && that simply turns the washer off. We give the washer time to complete power off && turn it back on && it goes directly back to home screen. We attempt to wash again && the same thing happens. We've tried running the dignostics testing && another test you told troy98 to try. Nothing seems to help. Please help me if you can. Thanks Much!

Right could be your belt, casrbon brushes if the motor has these which you will notice they will have a wire going to a small plastic part on either side of your motor it will have 2 of these if these are worn down to about 8ml they need replacing if your washer does not have carbon brushes than it will have a small circuit board called a module if this is faulty sometimes cheaper to replace your washer

During filling reaches fL before finished filling and stops

Not sure if this was explained to u but these washers do not fill like the old top loads did... the machine uses very little water, the clothes are rolled over and over through the water as it cascades down and up through the agitator. If you look at the agitator you'll notice it does not have an elongated spindle, it's not required. Although the machine doesn't fill your clothes will be fully washed, this design was developed to conserve water...

Getting Sears parts 110.23712200
I will tell you what happened to me. One day my water valve quit. On that veryday my sister in law paid her weekly visit to wash her and my BIL's clothes. She bypasses 5 laundry matts to get here. I tell my wife we should not have a $75 water bill. So the water would not fill in the washer. I told her to get a 5 gallon bucket and fill it up then see how many buckets it took to fill the washer. 7 buckets later the washer kicked in and started doing it's thang. 35 gallons of water to wash a full load on highest level. Then 7 more buckets to do the rinse. 70 gallons of water to wash one load of clothes. I figured I had her cured from coming over every saturday just to wash clothes. But she found out I fixed it. LOL She has a washer and dryer at her house but IF she goes overs a certain amount she uses then the trailer park charges her extra for water. Soo she comes ta my house. Sweet.

Lg front load washing machine does not seem to get the clothes clean. I think it is because it uses so little water??? How can it get clothes clean with just a few cupfulls of water? All controls and...

I have run into this problem several times with LG washers. On one job LG had us replace every electronic componet that had anything to do with the water fill and the problem still was not resolved. The electronic control determines how much water to fill depending on the load size, so smaller loads give you less water, with the same amount of soap. Leaving clothes in the washer overnight, and leaving the door closed does contribute to mold and fungi growth in the washer. The customer tried different brands of soaps and different amounts of soap. He left the door open after usage to allow the unit to dry out, and tried different cleaners, to clean out the sludge build up. We determined that there just is not enough water to thoroughly clean the clothes. The sales store had to replace the washer with another brand. There is an ongoing class action lawsuit against Lg for this problem. Do an online Search for lg washer lawsuit. By the way, we don't have a problem with clothes not getting clean with the Whirlpool Super Capacity Duet Front-Loading Washers. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Water not filling on washer

the inlet filter is probably clogged restricted and/or inhibited flow of water into your machine.
These things happen, and cleaning out the filter is a good first step to finding the problem.

I believe it is your lid switch. I have replaced 3 this week. If you get me the model number i can tell you for sure. Another thing that caused this is the motor to go bad. Do you smell a burning smell when it is trying to run after the fill up? If not get me the model number and i will get you the part number for the lid switch.

LG washer uses so little water, clothes aren't even damp and not clean

You will need to have a qualified LG technician come out and see what the problem is.  You may have a water level switch issue.

Ge washing machine

When your rinse cycle does not work it is your outlet filter that is clogged. If this is a front loader the small door is in the bottom front side of machine. Be prepared for some water to come out when u open the door. Unscrew and clean out filter and refit.

Notice! A problem has been detected with this unit

Troy, see if you can get it into a factory test mode. Start by pushing the power button on; next push the home button, next push the help pad, next push the start/stop and help pad together for 3 seconds, push the test load, the contrast screen should display. Now you can cycle through the different tests or let it cycle through on it's own, each test should time out after 5 minutes. This test will include the main board operation. If any tests fail, a failure code will appear. To exit the test, press stop/start to scroll down the screen list until the screen darkens. In case this model number is not exactly correct you should be able to find a tech sheet under the consol to guide you through these test proceedures. We need an error code to find the real problem, almost sounds like a pressure switch problem. back.
