my ipod turns on and everything but it has a annoying icon and i cant get rid of if the discription of the icon is a plug going into a wall outlet and the ipod that i have is a 20GB the 1 with out colour

The icon means that the iPod is low on battery and needs to be charged. Just plug it into your computer and leave it charging over night.
