Have a look at the Curry's Partmaster website. Just put the STK 412 piece in the search box.
Or try these http://www.utsource.net/STK412-230.html

How do you adjust the vertical lines going across my screen?

The vertical deflection circuit of your tv has a problem.
First, try to replace the vertical ic. This ic can be found near the plyback or horizontal section. It is a linear ic with heatsink.
If nothing happens after replacing the ic, replace all the polarized capacitor near the ic and resolder the components at the vertical section.

LG television Model No. RF-21FC80Q IC No. 9340 Problem is that above mentioned IC is not available at LG center in Surat. I have made complaint for the same at service center, surat., But they told that...

Why not source one from another company like RS Components ar CPC.co.uk or any other component supplier on the internet. A component will not be specific to a particular model or make.
Type what is written on the IC into Google, you will be amazed.

Flat line on Toshiba tube tv

It could be the vertical output IC, but there may be other possible causes which include:

- bad solder contacts on deflection yoke connectors or dirty connector contacts (on the circuit board and / or on the picture tube neck)

- bad solder contacts on the vertical output IC or associated components (check for little cracks in the solder around the pins, these are so called "cold" or bad / broken contacts)

- power loss to the vertical output IC - check for any burned resistors or other components around that IC, assuming you know which one it is - see which ICs are connected to the wires going to the deflection yokes (coils) on the picture tube neck and check them well.

You need to resolder any bad contacts, clean any dirty pins on the connectors and replace any burnt out components (assuming you can still determine the type or value of the component).

Since you mentioned the problem occurs once in a while, this means that the IC probably fails when it warms up, which can often happen if there are loose connections or bad solder contacts.

Anyway, it could turn out to be a faulty IC, i just suggested a few other things that can be fixed quite easily, and possibly without the need to replace any of the components.

BLUE HAZE AROUND ALL WORDS

Hello JPKLASSI,

Check your convergence first, use the AUTO adjust feature first then see if this clears up the problem. If the Auto adjust does not work then the following may be in order:

Only do this if you have a background in electronics, if you do not get a qualified TV technician to work on this set.

If you choose to do this yourself, here are the basic instructions:
1. Unplug the TV set
2. Take the rear bottom panel off
3. look for a large heat sink with two large black ICs (STK392-110) (6 sided components but rectangular in shape) on it, and remove the board the ICs are on from the TV set.
4. Unsolder the components using a soldering iron and a suction solder remover.
5. disconnect the components (ICs) from the heat sink
6. Unsolder all of the bias resistors and replace them with the proper values (usually 220, 150, 3.3, 2.2, and 3.9 ohms)
7. install the new ICs (STK392-110)
8. solder all connections IC and bias resistors
9. Inspect for shorts
10. reinstall circuit board
11. Plug the TV set in and turn it on.

I hope this helps

Thank you,

Hello,

I posted this for another problem so I think it holds true in your case to:

The problem with your Tv might be the convergence corrcetion amplifier modules (2 STK392-110). These modules often malfunction and produce the symptoms you are describing. The cost of the parts is about from $12.00 - $32.00 depending on where you buy the parts from. The major cost will be the labor, and if needed the cost of installing the biasing circuitry that the modules use. This usually costs around $200.00 - $400.00 depending on the shop.

Here are the basic instructions to replace the components you need to replace:

Green convergence, bad IC?

C8011 could definately cause the problem you are indicating as one side of that capacitor is tied to the postive feed for Red horizontal in IC8001 ( STK392-560) and the other is tied to the Green vertical return . I would replace that along with the IC as the IC is sure to be weakend if that capacitor has shorted. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Aiwa component no sound at all

Check your speakers first and then the audio output ics, if you are not a techie I'd suggest you to get it to an expert, or if you think you can manage trace the wires from the speakers, that goes to an ic, check the supply to that ic, if it is alright try changing it. Audio ic malfunction is not a costly problem, ics are not that costly.
