Hello,

Which discs are you talking about? Do you mean that you can't open the casing of the discs or your computer can't play them?
Please provide more information.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Recently i updated my pc to windows 10.Now i want to go back to windows 7.my pc has a recovery image of windows 7, but i cant run it.i tried f8 f9 f10 when boot up,but didn't work.please help

How long ago did you upgrade to Windows 10? If it was less than 30 days, boot up normally and then click Start. Select Settings and then Update and Security (at the bottom of the list). Select Recovery. There should be a link for Go back to Windows 7. Select this and click the Get Started button. (Note: if you cleaned up the System files or deleted the Win7-Recovery folder, this may not be available.)

Unfortunately, the original Recovery image from your manufacturer can't be accessed. The system redid the master boot record information during the upgrade. The only other way to revert the system is if you have a backup (including recovery media) on an external hard drive or series of optical discs.

If you obtain a Windows 7 license and disc, you could do a clean install of Windows 7. These are still sold from many computer shops and Amazon.com .

I hope this helps.

Can you give me an updated product key for windows 7 - MS Office Home/Student 2007. These posts are over a year old and these posted do not work. Help please.

I have/had this same problem while using MS Office 2007 in my lap top running an MS Vista system. I have the disc but for some reason the product key that came with it ceased to be recognized by the system. I contacted MS & they sent me a new PK which I entered & it took care of my problem. Now I tried to use either one of the PK's & they were not accepted. Contacted MS Tech Support
who helped me thru the free MSO 2010 download & all is OK. Hope you can achieve the same results

Will not function with Windows 7, what is wrong?

Not all programs that worked in Windows XP will run in Windows Vista or Windows 7.
I suggest you try compatibility mode to see if it helps.

If the program is not compatible, then you may try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

Use the following steps:

1) Right click on the Program

2) Click on Properties

3) Click on Compatibility tab

4) Select Run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or whatever operating system the program was running successfully.

Refer to the link here: Make older programs run in this version of Windows

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If the compatibility is not successful, then try and runthe Program Compatibility troubleshooter:

1. Open the Program Compatibility troubleshooter by clicking theStart button.

Then click Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then clickTroubleshooting. Under Programs, clickRun programs made for previous versions of Windows.

2. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter.

If you cannot install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the troubleshooter, browse to the program's setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. The troubleshooter is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

If you run Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate version, install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/default.aspx) and execute your software in Windows XP.

If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try VirtualBox (www.virtualbox.org) or VMware Player (www.vmware.com) and install a separate copy of Windows XP (either Home Edition or Professional) for that purpose. You can find virtualization software free of charge that will run on Windows 7 Home Premium.
Hope this helps.

I'm trying to upgrade from 64-bit Vista to 64 bit Windows 7. When I run the installation disk, I'm getting the following error message, which appears to be contradictory in my opinion:...

I have seen this type of problem before, the only real way around it is to install a fresh copy of windows 7 not to upgrade, you will receive a message that asks you if you want to keep the previous windows in a folder called old windows, from there you will be able to access all your old files and programs, be aware though some programs may not work on windows 7, and you may need to have updated drivers for the systems peripherals. So when you run the windows 7 disk choose clean install and go from there. i hope this helps

Cannot run a downloaded cd.

By what I'm reading, you are starting the setup of the program, and somewhere along the way, it throws an error.

If this is the case, it is possible that the file was corrupt upon downloading, try re-downloading it.

If you simply lack a program that can handle .jar. Try downloading JAVA if you haven't already. I know for sure that the JDK has the ability to open and create .jar files.

Hope this helps!
