Question about Cell Phones
1: Choose E911 in the location menu on your phone. 2: Uninstall any tracking apps or programs on your phone. 3: look under your battery and see if there is anything there that difn't come with the phone or that you didn't put there yoursel. If this doesn't work then the only way to completely stop it is to remove your battery and I'm sure you don't want to do that.. So if it doesn't stop after doing the things that I have listed then contact your phone carrier for assistance. Hope this helps

it can be traced by your Mobile Service Provider like AT&T or Wt ever but you must pay high ,, that would cost more than your phone,
Because only FBI or Crime Investigator would needed this type of tracking
It can be done and tracked even if cell phone is switched off

SOURCE: my Nokia 5800 was stolen.
DeeDee ... first thing you need to do is report the phone lost/stolen to your service provider. they will blacklist the phone so it will become worthless to the thief. i wouldn't look to the service provider to help you locate the phone as there are privacy issues involved (bizarre when you think about that). admittedly i'm not familiar with the google maps thingy so i would suggest you read up on it to see if that is a way to locate the phone.
please take a moment to rate this solution... thanks

SOURCE: please help me to trace
It is not possible to trace your cell phone, even if you hadsetup a tracker program on the phone, it can only give the location of yourcell phone in the coverage area where the cell phone transmitter tower islocated.
I suggest you contact your cell phone providerASAP. To lock your cell phone from further use, please click on this link :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5057854-lost_or_stolen_cell_phone
