I suggest you reset your GPS, to reset your gps, follow this steps, turn off Garmin device. Press down on bottom right corner of the touchscreen, and then power on the GPS unit. You should be prompted whether do you really want to erase all user data, or asked if do you really want to start up in maintenance mode. Press “Yes” to reset (warning: all data will be erased and lost, so backup before proceeding) or enter maintenance mode.
Once the Garmin GPS unit is reset, remember to place the device outside where there is a clear unobstructed view of the sky for 15 – 30 minutes in order for it to requires fix to GPS satellites. with this, this should fix the problem.

SOURCE: trying to install the rand
1. Make sure the TND 500 is turned on.
2. Connect the USB cable provided in the box to connect to your computer.
3. Go to your start menu, click on computer.
4. You should see two external drives if if is a T5B and one external drive if it is a T5C.
The external drives will not show up on the desktop. It is an external device just like an external hard drive. If you cannot see the external device, can you see other devices connected to the same USB port? If not, then it suggests the USB port is bad.
You can most certainly E-Mail me at email@example.com for futher technical support.

You can replace a cracked GPS screen, but you can't repair it. If your GPS is under warranty, you can contact the manufacturer directly about sending the unit back to have the screen replaced. If the device is not under warranty, you can still contact the manufacturer about replacing the screen. The company will charge a fee to replace your GPS screen if you don't have a warranty that covers that type of repair. You can also replace the GPS screen yourself, but be aware that replacing your GPS screen can void your warranty.
Instructions Things You'll Need
MY ADVICE IS : Sense your unit is expensive and new, it is worth having them fix it or fix yourself. I hope hope this helped you, and on the good size you for sure have a good unit. Thanks Mike , your fixya Expert.
