SOURCE: Ice Maker Stopped working

Hello, I don't know if this will help because the model I have is a 106.565(32)400. I have had my ice maker stop working many times because the fill tube was iced up. After about the 8th or 9th time that it did this I decided that I had to find a solution. What I came up with was that the door in front of the ice maker was keeping the tube too cold and making it freeze up. I removed the door to see if was correct. It never froze up again but the ice would fall out sometimes if you had the door open and it was in the dumping cycle. Then I drilled several 1/2" holes in the ice maker door and reinstalled it. I have had no more problems for over a year.

Replaced working thermostat

Does the new thermostat have separate 'Rc' and 'Rh' terminals ?? If so, there probably needs to be a jumper wire across them to energize both the heating and the cooling circuits in the sub-base. Look carefully at the old stat and determine if it too had these terminals, if it only had an 'R' terminal, it was powering both circuits through that one single connection and probably had only one transformer.

The Rc and Rh terminals are for systems that have two separate control circuit power supplies, one in the A/C and the other in the gas (or electric) furnace.

I have 4 wires green blue red and white my red is connected to the rh rc with jumper green connect to g blue to y1 and white is connected to w1 my new thermostat has no rc rh or a jumper

Paulette, if your new thermostat has no Rc and Rh thats fine. The Red wire should simply go to the R terminal. The Rc and Rh terminals on the old one was for the old 'two transformer' systems. The vast majority of systems now have no need for the Rc Rh terminal and jumper. The rest of your wires connect as on the old stat also.

Why does my ice maker is frezz up, and will not turn to make ice

I'm having a similar problem. Water freezes in the mold, but thermostat does not heat ice to release ice from mold. I replaced the thermostat and still did not work. I just noticed the plastic around the copper line that touches the mold prongs is melted. I guess it shorted out. You may have the same problem. Time to buy a new ice maker even thought the frig is only 1.5 years old.

I am wiring a Honeywell wifi unit and I used a separate 24v transformer and connected to the c and rc terminal. My system is ac and heat and uses both and rc and rh wire. I wired the rc to the r ter

A thermostat is a switch. It connects 24vac from one terminal to another depending on the request. The 24vac comes from a transformer, usually located in the furnace and connects to the R terminal. Since you are using RH and RC without a jumper between it means there are two transformers, one in the furnace for heating (RH) and one in the air conditioner condenser used for cooling (RC).
Your old thermostat was probably mechanical and did not have a C (24vac common) terminal. Your new thermostat requires power to operate therefore needs a wire connected to a C terminal. I would get rid of the transformer you added and look for an unused wire in the bunch at the thermostat. If it's there connect it to C on the thermostat and to C on the furnace. Remove any jumper from R to RC or from RH to RC depending on your thermostat and connect wires same as the old thermostat.

RC-800M Remote Control

Are you trying to use the Insignia RC-800M to control a TV or some other JVC device? How old is the JVC product? Most universal remotes won't control a device that was built within 6 months of when the remote was programmed. (Newer devices will not work at all with an older remote.)

The RC-800M code for a JVC TV is 11601. For a JVC set-top box try the codes: 00775 or 01775. For a JVC DVD or Blu-ray player, try 32365. The manuals for most of the Insignia devices which came with the RC-800M remote are available from the Insignia support site: .

I hope this helps.

739dfb58-7a38-4a51-a7ed-ab942a7253a0.pngRH is red heat and RC is red cool, red being the "hot leg" of the 24 volt control voltage, normally you will have a jumper from RH to RC, the fact there is an RC tells me there must be an RH too?
I will look after this post and come back if any new info was found, other wise I will say call 1800 Honeywell and provide you a diagram to check out.

I will put it like this, if you can unplug the ice maker from rear wall of freezer and water continues to flow replace water valve. If only when ice maker is plugged in then the ice maker electronics and replacing the ice maker would be your best bet, Thanks, Sea Breeze
