SOURCE: Battery will not charge in phone on charger

Ive seen phones that were the same but most newer phones should be able to charge the battery through the phone not just the battery cradle. You have probably got a defective phone. I'd be very surprised if it was designed that way but sadly its possible. Call your provider to double check and be sure to keep your box and all materials as most companies wont let you return or exchange a phone without the original packaging and everything in it. Good Luck.

SOURCE: when charging, the message "check

There is nothing wrong if you get this message While You Are Talking, Texting or Surfing the Web. If that is when we receive this message means is that you are using more power from the battery than the charger is supplying at that moment. SO the power/battery monitor in the phone thinks that the battery is bad because the battery is not receiving any of the power that is coming in from the charger BECAUSE you are using the phone while you are charging. So you really don't need to worry about it. If you care about the life of your battery; some experts suggest that the best way it charge is with the phone completely turned off. I know many people believe they can't ever possibly survive life with the phone off. Having said that the next best way to charge is with the phone on but not in use. When you use the phone while you are charging you are putting extra strain on the battery and it's charge control/monitor circuits. Hope this is helpful.

My Samsung tablet won't charge when plugged in

Does it have a micro USB charger/charging port? This was the universal charging adapter most manufacturers other than Apple moved to around 5 years ago. In my experience, the charging port to charger connection can become loose and prevent charging....especially if you use the tablet or phone during charging. The best method I have found to troubleshoot the issue is to try a charger that successfully charges another device and plug it into the tablet or phone. If your device still does not charge, and especially if the connection is loose, it is most likely that your charging port is damaged. Another possible issue would be the battery itself but the charger or charging port is the most likely culprit for your issue.

Why will my samsung galaxy s4 not connect to the charger - the socket seems to have dropped

REASONS OF SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 NOT CHARGING- GREY BATTERY PROBLEM

The main reason of Samsung Galaxy S4 not charging- grey battery problem is a shorted charging port. There may be several reasons for it such as sometimes dust entered into the charging port and causes this problem. Sometimes the bar across the center of the charging port gets bent.

SOLUTIONS TO FIX SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 NOT CHARGING- GREY BATTERY PROBLEM

Method 1
If your Galaxy S4 falls and you start to face Samsung Galaxy S4 not charging- grey battery problem, then take a pointed wooden toothpick, a magnifying glass and a strong light and see carefully if any bar across the center of the charging port is in the center and not bent to touch one of the sides of the shell. If you find that it is bent then straight it using the toothpick point carefully.

Method 2
Look for the dirt into the charging port that it may pick up from anywhere. Take a thin needle and gently insert it in the charging port to take out the large piece of dirt from it. But you have to be very careful so that you do not make any damages of the charging port. You can do this by using a can of compressed air or dust/hair blower that will blow out the small dust particles from your phone's charging port.

Method 3
Some users reported that they have found solution of the Samsung Galaxy S4 not charging- grey battery problem by taking out the battery from the phone , insert it into another Samsung Galaxy S4 ,and then again put it in back.

So follow these steps to get rid of Samsung Galaxy S4 not charging- grey battery issue.

My blackberry curve 8520 is at low battery and wont charge or show the charge lightning bolt

King, many times this happen, don't worry, put your device on charge 2 to 5hours it will solved, if problem persist, change battery, because this sounds me a only battery problem. there is one another way (if you are not sure don't try this) we call that direct charging
first take one charger who has light on head and then cut the charging connector of charger and then you will see two colours of wires separate the black and red wires (red wire is positive line and black is negative line) and then connect to current supply but make sure there wire are separated otherwise it will have a short circuit and then take battery and search + and - connector and then red wire connect on battery positive connector and black on negative connector if you connect properly you will see the charging light are getting dim. that mean it is charging, do direct charge for 10 min and then switch on your device with battery and put in charge normally. this will solve your problem. if my sugetion was helpful please rate it.

Can i directly hook up the neg and positive wire to my cell battery and charge it

popped off the battery cover and noyiced the + & - signs on the battery almost lined up perfectly with the contacts on the sides
so fugurring that since the charge from USB port, figured the 5V 0.5A power source would work for the same side connectors. cut up the seperate USB cable layng around and stripped down the red (+5V) and black (Gnd ) wires.
from there bunched them up and stuffed the red one into the left contact and taped it down with electrical tape and then did the same with the black wire in the right contact. make sure to use as much wire as you can without touching the 2 wires/contacts and taped them down seperately and nice and firm.
plugged in to the computer for about 25 min and it was completely drained and nearly 1/4 full power.wait for to get it fully charged and then just bring this cable and electrical tape with you and you can charge your cell with your lap top

My SCH-a930 won't charge. I still have battery life, and the phone works fine, but the phone won't charge. I have tried multiple wall outlets. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

Hi,
Please, try using another charger with the phone.
If the problem continues, get a screw driver, unscrew the phone and bring the charging port out. The charging port is at the tail end of the phone.
Clean the surface of the panel where the charging port contact the panel with a spirit and allow it to dry for 30 minute. Couple back the phone and i am sure the charging phone will work fine.
Regards

My phone will not charge, I have a feeling that it is a problem with the phone charger itself, beacuse it will connect my car charger. This is really annoying, I have to play around with the wire until it...

Hello,

The problem actually is not from the charger, it is from the charging port of the phone.
The pins that are in the charging port are wearing out that is why you have to adjust the charger before it will stay in.

The only solution to that is for you to replace the charging port.
To replace the charging port, get the appropriate screwdrivers, then you remove the phone cover, the sim and the battery, then you unscrew the phone, try to separate it apart to locate the charging port, then you replace it with a new one, after replacing it, reassemble the phone back together and it will be in good condition once again.

Take care and good luck.
