I cleaned out all the drain tubes and though I fixed the problem. It seemed to go a=way but now it does not drain again. it lasted for a wekk before it came back. what should I check next?
Call the repairman unless you are comfortable replacing the pump. It sounds like the pump is getting old and weak. The other possibility is that the pump impellers are caked with yuck. Depending on the manufacturer, they are replaceable, if they aren't cleanable.

The water from the melting ice during defrost should be guthered from the drip drain pan which is under the evaporator pipe coil and is passing though the drain tube which is conected to the dip pan and should end out on the back of the fridge to the compressor to evaporate. The problem posibly is that the drain tube is goggle either from ice or from dirt or both and the water since it can not end to compressor it overfrow from drip pan inside the freezer. So you can clean the drip pan and drain tube using a wire rod and problem will be solved.
The most common causes for water not draining are:
Clogged drain tube
Clogged drain hose
Clogged drain pump
Removing the drain hose from the tube and inspecting it should give you an idea right away if the hose is clogged. The problem is most likely in the drain pump. Many times, items left in pockets will find their way into the pump and become lodged there.
If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound. If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Hope this helps...... Daniel
Clean the drain pan and drain line in the back of the freezer section
underneath the evaporator coil. (hint: use turkey baster with hot water)
Make sure water drains when you
pour it in. If it doesn't - also clean drain tube on the back of the
unit behind the cover. When done - make sure to put the tube exactly where it was.
Good luck! :)
Hi, F7 in whirlpools means "Clean the filter”. The following troubleshooting steps would help fix it. Remove the filter on the floor of the machine, including the metal grill. Press & hold the start button (like you do when you want to cancel a program this will drain the water out of your clogged up drain outlet. Clean your filter and grill and replace it. My guess is that the sensor in the drain (a little glass tube) measures whether the water going out is clean enough to decide that your dishes are now rinsed correctly. If your filters clogged, the water going down the drain is still dirty. After a while it gets sick of trying and stops the machine.
Clean it and dry it thoughly. Apply a small amount of 100 % silcone caulking with you finger. Seal it on both sides. Allow it to dry thoughly before it gets wet or it will leak.
If you take the bottom panel off the DW, there is a white plastic tube that is sticking out, but attached to the motor. Turn the tube counter clockwise ( Please be sure to have wet vac ready as this tube will let water out, even if you think you have all water out, still have wet vac and towels ready) Pieces of things get stuck in that tube and make it hard to drain.. replace tube to motor after cleaning and test unit

The following worked for me:
Remove the filter on the floor of the machine, including the metal grill.
Press & hold the start button (like you do when you want to cancel a programme). this will drain the water out of your clogged up drain outlet. Clean your filter and grill and replace it.
