Question about Audiovox XV6600 Smartphone

XV6600 Smartphone I have a XV6600 that I got from a friend, I have a not so simple problem. When I place the phone in the cradle to charge I get a constant red light and the phone wont turn on. So I figured the phone had a bad battery, so I placed it in the AUX port and I got a soft amber light and eventually a green light. So it appreas that the battery is charged, tested and it put out 3.5v. Pop it into the phone, no dice. I read on the net that others had expierenced this problem as well. Some said it could possible be the battery contacts themselves, checked and tweaked a bit, nothing. Some said that if you play with the reset button that it should start to work, did that and still nothing. I'm good with electronics but im kinda running out of steam here. I really don't know what else to try. Any clues would be super appreciated. Thanks! P.S. Im very computer literate so don't be afraid to get really technical or geeky on me :P

    My phone all of a sudden went off and would not turn on.when i plug it into the cradle it still deosnt come on.it shows usb and version 1.02 n d screen.i remove from the cradle it shows just serial.i have tried resetting it a couple of times but no luck.i can not wait for mailing it back.some one please post a solution ASAP.

Can't push the sim card cradle back into iphone
Maybe you're just putting it back the wrong way.
Here's how you put it the right way:

.. i got this from page 202 of the iPhone manual..
And make sure the cradle is clean so there won't be any small particle preventing the sim cradle from fitting perfectly in its place.

As far as i know unlock code is a better option to unlock phones,when i sufferd with the problem my friend suggested me the site from where i got my unlock code.its save of time and save of money to you can get your unlock code not free of cost but its as cheap as free.click here to get your unlock code.

Battery will not charge in phone on charger
Ive seen phones that were the same but most newer phones should be able to charge the battery through the phone not just the battery cradle. You have probably got a defective phone. I'd be very surprised if it was designed that way but sadly its possible. Call your provider to double check and be sure to keep your box and all materials as most companies wont let you return or exchange a phone without the original packaging and everything in it. Garmin 305 wont power on, wont charge on cradle
Same thing happened to mine. Put the unit in the cradle (just like you are going to recharge it) and press the reset and mode button at the same time for 3 seconds. This will "wake" the unit up.

The sidekick ID charging port can go bad like the sidekick 3's. An easy workaround is to get an external cradle that has a spare battery charging slot.

The trick is that the sidekick 3 and sidekick ID batteries are the same so the sidekick ID battery can be charged by the external cradle. An extra battery is a good idea as well so you can have ine charging at all times.

If you use a fork and bend the tines so that only the first and fourth are in the same position, and then go ahead an jam that into any wall outlet all your problems should be fixed.

Htc touch charging port stop working
It may be caused by dirt ingress in the port, check for dust and clean out with a soft fine paintbrush (like an artist brush) soaked in pure alchohol, or vodka! Short of that solution, purchase a charger of ebay and place battery in the rear to charge.-

Stop PDA from resetting itself
You need to Hard Reset your device to the deafult manufacter setup. This is easy to do, just open the user manual and read how to preform a ahard reset. Doing so should return the device to its initial factory setup where the on going resets should not happen.
