Question about Flotec Pump FP4032-10MK
I have a multizone sprinkler system with 4 heads per zone. I pump from a lake with water level about 10 to 15 ft below the pump inlet. I just got a new shallow well FP4032 and plumbed it in and it pumps water just fine, just not enough at any pressure to pop up the sprinklers. They just bubble water in the ground. Is there a way to increase the pressure and/or flow to correct this problem? Or do I need a different pump, like a sprinkler pump. I do not have a pressure gauge on the line, so I am not sure what pressure it is putting out. Thanks, Don
Have you fixed this problem?
Q? Did you replace an existing pump. And what was the model and did it work.
Q? If its the same size as the fp4032, has anything else changed? Is there a filter that needs checking.
hydraulically to work it out I need the distance from pump to water, height and size of pipe. Distance you are pumping too, height and size of pipe. And what the "four heads are"? Nozzle size etc. To work out a flow/pressure rate.

Inspect the jet thru the suction pipe or the removable plug if the pipe isn't inline with the center of the impeller. The jet is very small, and easy to get something stuck in there. Then prime and leave the pressure pipe closest to the outlet slightly loose to let air out. Once you get good pressure you can tighten the pipe. Sometimes you have to prime more than once to get all the air out of the well pipe.

If you can meet your needs with the pressure you have now, reduce the pressure cut off switch pressure until it shuts off. Your housing is probabbly sealed to the motor. Try shocking it with a rubber mallet to break the seal.

SOURCE: I have a flotec 1
I am going to take a stab at this it sounds like the bladder has gone bad it the expantion tank. Try letting some air out of the bladder tank and see if you get any water if you do then the bladder has gone bad the tank will need replaced. After the replacement turn the limit switch back to normal settings. You can also tap on the tank to see if it is full of water.

i believe you have it wired wrong, i dont have enough info here to tell you what you did wrong. look at your instructions again and double check everything. you may have damaged the pump motor. basic wire hook up is black to black and white to white and green to a ground. black is your hot (load)
white is your neutral. thats about all i can tell you from the info you gave
