If it is truly locked up there is no way to repair it without both replacing parts and probably having machine work done on it. It's just not posible. At a minimum you would need gaskets and to replace whatever has locked it up (usually bearings...though not always) and having whatever component is affected machined..cranshaft, block, heads

Stoneware inserts show up at second hand stores all the time...that is if the manufacturer doesn't offer replacement parts.

yes it is possible but I caution you to get estimates and then compare those numbers to the purchase of a new tv as that repair is pricey.

Well yes, you can. If you are comfortable with working with small circuits etc. You will need to contact Canon to get an LCD from them. I don't know the part number off hand. Simply ask for an LCD for your model. The price will be in the neighbourhood of $80.00. An easier way is to find a Canon authorized repair shop in your area and take it to them. They of course will charge you for their time as well as their time. But you will bet a guarantee, usually six months.
