We bought this dishwasher in 2008 and it blew its first fuse in 2010. Service repaired with new fuse assy. in 2011 just months past the wty. date it blew another fuse. I ordered and replaced. since then it has blown a fuse once or twice a year. These things cost $27.00 and should not be going this often. Is there any modifications or recalls about this problem. I think I might need a new board or entire washer.

You probably need the motor conversion kit 12002039. This Neptune motor / motor control board has a high failure rate. To determine this you need to remove the front cover and inspect the motor control board near the floor on right side for burnt components or a blown 10 amp fuse. If you have burnt components or a blown fuse then your motor control board has failed and needs to be replaced. See www.neptunewaxmotor.com for Neptune disassembly pictures and other neptune information.

This is happening because you have a very bad fault, a Phase to Earth short, problem. Leave machine UNPLUGGED, Breaker/Fuses OUT. do NOT use it, nor Touch it, It is possible to get severe electric shock. PLEASE get a registered serviceman to inspect this unit.

Hi,
Your DVD combo use a Switch Mode Power supply.
If you want to give it a bash here is a good guide that explains how they work and how to trouble shoot.

but ...
in 95% of the cases it is a shorted switchmode power transistor and other semiconductors, open fusable resistors, other bad parts. Note: actual cause of failure may be power surge/brownout/lightning strikes, random failure, or primary side electrolytic capacitor(s) with greatly reduced capacity or entirely open - test them before powering up the repaired unit.
