Hello the arm of my tom ford glasses brake

Tom Ford glasses have a one year manufactures warranty. You can send them back to the manufacturer within that period for warranty. Unfortunately TF does not offer replacement parts so if that glasses are older than a year you are probably out of luck...

Little white disc will not stick to my dash

using armorall will prevent anything to stick on that surface as armorall contains silicon. U should have cleaned it with alcohol. do it again with alcohol (aftershave lotion, nail polish remover liquid, any whisky, vodka). also the dash surface has to be glossy , if it is matt finish u will be disappointed again.

Do i use both the hard plastic adhesive disc or just the one that holds the tomtom to fix onto windscreen.Mike.

The disc is for attaching your unit to the dash. On the glass, you just need to stick the mount to it. Make sure the glass is perfectly clean or the mount and GO720 will eventually fall off. Also the oem mount is just a general pain at best. I went with an aftermarket mount to eliminate the problem.

I need to fix the ENTER button.. I've removed the case screws anf do not want to damage the seam with a screw driver. Is thier some other catch or tang I'm missing.....THNX...Patrick

To fix this problem with the malfunctioning " Joy Stick", and or selection or enter button, you must seperate the Remotes halves. There are no springs or other parts that will come flying out when the halves are split. Do Not use a screw driver to separate the seams the best tool is a tool used by manicurist on cuticles or make your own. Squeeze the bottom half while moving along the seam. Once you have two of the plastic catches released, the others will come apart. Then remove the three philips screws that will allow you to remove the board and attached LCD screen. The LCD screen is attached with a ribbon cable. To remove this cable, first back off the cable pressure locks! What looks like the end of the cable is only a pressure lock and stays with the main board. Do Not get in a hurry with this ribbon cable! Use a magnifying glass to have a close look! Turn the board over and remove the " button boot", this will allow access to the joy stick. The joy stick button is a friction fit and can be removed with equal upward pressure. Now you are at , what is a five way switch. Study the switch with your magnifying glass and a good light, you will see how the metal bracket holds the switch together. Bend the catches back on only one side of the bracket. This will allow you to remove the joy stick and see the five small concave metal discs. These discs are tempered to make contact and return to there concave shape. The center disc on mine was not concave, but near flat. These small parts will want to get lost!! Move slowly! I removed the middle disc and used a gold plated RCA plug that was rounded just enough to match the concave design of the disc. A few light taps and the disc conformed to operational shape. Putting the small disc back into the switch was testy. Reassemble the unit slowly, pay attention to the RF antenna, you do not want to break the solder connections. Clean the LCD and be sure you have the ribbon cable seated all the way into it's clip.
My RC-8000 now works and fixing this pesky switch cleared up a few other odd things going on in my 5803.

The disc in the package with TomTom is for mounting the unit on any flat surface on the dashboard instead of the windscreen glass. Stick the disc anywhere you choose on the dash and then use the normal suction (windscreen) mount on it.
There must be someone in the world that has found a use for this, but I don't know anyone that has.
Remember that any GPS system works better if it has clear "view" of the sats ! Why anyone would ever need to put the unit deeper inside the vehicle ( and therefore reduce the signal and also have it out of their line of sight ) is a mystery to me.
The disc seems to be a useless bit of extra kit.

Tomtom problem with solar glass

Is the external aerial outside of the passenger compartment, or somply up on the dash? If the external aerial is on the roof and hooked to the display unit properly and still does not acuire a signal (assuming you're not parked in a lead-lined garage), then something else is afoot.

How to mount tomtom 125 to the car

Alcohol works to a great degree to clean some surfaces. I have used lighter fluid to dissolve glue or adhesive residue that may exist. The alcohol will not work on a poorly cleaned surface. And lighter fluid does not seem to harm plastics. Use sparingly and clean in two or three apps.
Your solution seems to be that you are trying to attach the GPS suction cup to the dash without the plastic disc that comes with the unit. Glue the disc onto as flat a part of the dash as possible, Prefferably on the top of the dash. Then attach the Tom Tom with the cup onto the disc. A slight downward pressure while turning the locking handle is all that is necessary. I had a momentary adjustment time to learn how to lock mine. Love the TomTom GPS compared to the Navigon I returned to get an
