After a heavy storm it started to make a buzzing noise and the only way to stop it was to unplug it. The gas burner does not get gas either now. How do i repair it?

SOURCE: the thin mesh top

It's supposed to stop large pieces of debris from getting on the heat plaques. You can probably just replace the mesh top, if the screws that hold it on aren't to rusted. Appliance Factory Parts is about the best place to find the part, if it is available.

Good luck and Happy Grilling!!

I have a dacor bbq in an island. Today we had very heavy rain. With that said, the lighter was on and making the typical clicking noises. I made sure that the gas was not on. Finally, I turned on the...

The really odd thing about this, is one shouldn't affect the other. So, I suspect that some moisture got into the ignitor button or module during the heavy rain and is causing the ignitor to button/switch to make contact when it shouldn't. Dismantle the ignitor button, remove the battery and check for moisture. Even if you don't see any, use a Q Tip lightly sprayed with WD40 to clean the interior. The WD40 will dissipate any moisture and help to lubricate the contacts. Then check all the wiring from the module to the burner ignitors to make sure they are not grounding out on something that the wires shouldn't be touching.

Hope this helps to solve your problem.
