SOURCE: Brother Ink Refills?

WARNING. Do not get your ink cartridges filled at any place that does not have ink made specifically for your printer. Different inks dry at different rates. Your printer will expect a very specific rate of drying and if it does not receive it, it will likely eventually clog. I have a Brother MFC 210c and i refilled my cartridges several times before i encountered any problems. It worked for over a year actually, but now the black ink is insanely clogged. Apparently the cleaning button does nothing but push more ink through, so if you are not using the proper ink or have an ink clog, using the cleaning button will only block it further. Also as Brother printheads are apparently not on the ink cartridge itself, it is difficult to get to the printhead to clean it. In my situation this will likely lead to my printer getting trashed, though I have not given up yet. The link the guy above left may very well work, but do not do as i have done and get ink that is not made especially for your printer. It is a giant hassle that will likely lead to all the money you spent on your printer going down the drain.

SOURCE: printer is not printing after putting in new ink

hi from brisbane !!
your Canon printer is detecting low ink in the cartridge and stops the feed of ink .
i have had the same problem and have only refill the cartridge and its away again .
the cartridges have a few contacts on the back and sometimes by applying a magnent to those contacts , it erases the memory and start printing again .
try that and let me know how you go .

SOURCE: Printer is not printing black

The following may work: remove all the ink supplies. Remove the printhead and soak it for about 5 minutes in 0.5" of very hot water. Gently blot the printhead on a soft damp paper towel to remove the excess water, then replace in the printer and then reinstall the ink supplies. get more help to fix Printer Not Printing Black problem hope this helps you.

It's started printing orange instead of black. is it the cheap ink, or a program problem. should i get a new printer?

Almost certainly the ink. I tried refills a few times but they were not good. Buy all new Canon refills and take out the print heads (if removable) and rinse it well in hot water. Pat dry and reinstall.

Take the black cartridge out and look at the bottom of it. The inkjet pad should be black. Blot it on paper towel. What colour is yours?

I have the MG7120.

Printer says set ink cartridge

Canon ink cartilages have a code and have to be reset when refilling. If
this has not been done they will not work. If they are cannon brand and not refills, take them back where you bought them.

Canon pixma mx350 printer ink level shows exclamation mark about the icon

If you are using an ink refill kit (or buying ink that has been refilled, the ink level will not show accurately) also, if refilling yourself you must clean the pint area of the cartridge with alcohol before installation, and then run the 'clean print head' tools from you Canon menus.

I recommend buying Canon ink, at least for 1 in 4 refills to reset your ink levels.

Fix error e5

Due to the expense of manufacture ink often people are using generic ink or refills. Generic is just that generic and not all generic sends the right code to the printer to recognize it and refills doesn't let the printer know ink if full.

Is there a cheaper way to replace the Canon MP240 ink cartridges by using a generic source?

I would not recommend using generics for the PG-210 CL-211. Canon builds these style cartridges with what we simply call a "digital fuse". Basically there is coding on the cartridge that turns the cartridge off once the printer believes it to be empty. For this reason we do not refill these cartridges in our shop, nor do we suggest refills at all. If you would like to use refills, Canon printers that take the 221 series cartridges refill well and are reliable. But make sure you only use refills of Canon original cores. Internet "compatibles" commonly don't fit right, or have communication errors.

I have a Canon PIXMA iP100 printer. I refilled my Canon PGI 35 ink tank and the sensor did not reset so it still says that it has no ink. Is there a way to reset the sensor so the cartridge will work?

Nope. The ink levels cannot be reset on refills for this type of cartridge. As long as your printer still prints you should be good. If it doesn't print you either need to go get another refill or a Canon brand cartridge.

Ink cartridge refill

You can't refill these cartridges yourself. Sure you can get ink and inject it in, but your printer remembers the serial number of each cartridge and how many pages you've printed with it. Because it remembers this information it turns off the cartridge electronics to prevent the use of refills. I would try to get refills for the black but not the color cartridge. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling store and we have a high return rate on the color cartridges. It seems the printers are extremely finicky about color refills. If you get a black refill and your printer won't print with it, exchange it for another one because you happened to get a cartridge with the same serial number as the last one you had. I recommend Cartridge World refills, then Office Depot brand refills.

Replaced ink cartridge and it still says low ink

There is no way to reset the ink levels on this type of cartridge. Therefore, your printer will always think refills are empty. You can choose on the dialogue box to "ignore ink levels" and run the cartridge until it is empty. This is just one thing you will need to deal with on refills of this cartridge type.
