Yard machine gets hat after 10 min. i have to jump solenoid to get it started.. i cut the wires to the safety on the seat and the wire that goes to the plate I took off

Your mower has a air cooled engine. The cooling air is generated by the fan on the flywheel. The air is drawn into the top of the flywheel shroud and forced over the engine cylinder and head . All the tin fastened around the cylinder and the head needs to be there for this to work. If the fins on the cylinder or head become plugged up with grass and debris the air can not get around that area and it will get hot. Not one thing about the wiring has anything to do with the temperature of the engine. In Indiana USA we deal with mice building nest under the flywheel shrouds every winter and cause this same problem.

Three men are facing a wall in single file. The furthest is #3 and he can see #2 and #1's heads. The man in the middle, #2, can only see #1's head. The closest to the wall, #1, cannot see...

#1 says he has a blue hat.

If #3 sees two red hats then he knows he has a blue hat. Since he says he does not know the color of his hat, #1 and #2 do not both have red hats. They may both have blue hats, or one a blue hat and the other a red hat.

If #2 sees a red hat then he knows his hat is blue since #3 did not see two red hats. Since he says he does not know the color of his hat, #1 must have a blue hat.

We have an Ingersoll Rand- 100hp air compressor. We only run this periodically- when we have a power curtailment and trying to reduce power consumption or if our primary air compressor faults out. When...

replace the hat switch. hat = High Air temp. This switch is located on the end of the air end and usually has 1/2" flex conduit on it. Remove the conduit. It goes to a box located on the frame near and under the airend. Remove the cover from the box tug on the wires at the hat switch to see which two wires need to be disconnected.disconnect wires unscrew hat switch. Put a new oring on the new hat switch and install new hat switch. Hat switch is the only switch that will give high temp and lose control power. Let set a while and can reset unless probe is broken off.

I have a monessen LPG fireplace and the blower motor has seemed to stop working. it has a variable rotating switch on it. dont know if anyone knows where this problem is on most models like this?

The problem is likely the fan motor for the forced air blower, which means the entire blower needs replaced. The description of the problem is the same problem we had approximately two years ago when our motor was still under warranty (less than a year old). In our case the motor was replaced without charge. However, the same problem has happened this year which is extremely disappointing since we only run the fireplace from December to April intermittently because it is only a supplimental heat source for the house. You can either look up the model number and part number and order a replacement over the web (less expensive if you are DIY and know what you're doing) or see if the local LPG supplier can repair the part or replace. Good luck.
