SOURCE: Does Cakewalk Pyro 5 work easily with a USB turntable

Yes, Cakewalk Pyro 5 works well with a USB turntable. It has specific support for USB turntables. One example of a turntable that works well with it is the Stanton T.90 USB Turntable.

Good luck!

SOURCE: pyro plus does not work

If a program cannot be run under Windows 7 because of compatibility issues you have to right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. You can find more about this Compatibility issue on Microsoft website: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

SOURCE: Cant'r run pyro5 on windows

Yes, but it may be more expensive then buying the new Cakewalk pyro Audio Creator 1.5 ($40). The cost will depend on your version of Windows 7 among other issues.

From the Cakewalk site: "pyro 5 and the other versions listed above will not launch properly under Windows 7. They will not function at all."

The work-around is to run the software such that it thinks you are using an older version of Windows. There are a two ways to do this with one computer: 1) run a dual boot system with Window 7 and an older version of windows, 2) run a virtual computer with an older version of Windows inside the Windows 7 system using Parallels, VMWare or Virtual PC.

In most cases for either option, you need a licensed version of the older Windows OS. If you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate, you can get the virtual computer with XP for free. Download Microsoft's Virtual PC and then the XP mode package. Install them in order and install your Cakewalk software to the XP computer as if that is the only computer. The only issues can come up is that peripherals (like printers) can't be installed on both the real and the virtual computer and sharing files has to be done by saving to optical or other external media.

I'm not sure how much of a learning curve would be involved but there is a free audio editor available. See http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ for more information - the Win7 version is still in beta but works.

I hope this helps.

What is the procedure to install a 32-bit softwares in to my laptop(windows 7,home premium,64-bit) ?

Most programs designed for the 32-bit version of Windows will work on the 64-bit version of Windows. Notable exceptions are many antivirus programs.
Device drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows won't work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows. If you're trying to install a printer or other device that only has 32-bit drivers available, it won't work correctly on a 64-bit version of Windows.

Windows 7 64bit does run programs that will run on windows 7 32bit, see here

How Windows 7 / Vista 64 Support 32 bit Applications

BUT not ALL 32bit programs will run on Windows 7!!! There are many programs that will run on Windows XP and before that will not run on Windows 7. IF you had Windows 7 Pro version (or upgrade) there is a program you can download from Microsoft that will simulate an XP environment to allow programs to run called "XP MODE".
Try to install the 32bit software first. If installation not succeed, it would be better if you first look into a newer version of the program you want to run.You have to consider that a newer version of your program might not be that much more expensive than upgrading to pro, and with the newer version, usually comes newer features.

Hope this help and if helpful RATE please.

How can I use my Cakewalk plasma 2003 software om my new windows 7 computer?

As you know Plasma runs on Windows 98/Me/2000/XP. I don't have any specific knowledge of Plasma 2003 but if it needs specific drivers you are probably screwed since there is no Vista support listed.
Win7 has the capability of running XP Virtual machine (available on Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Ultimate, allows you to run multiple Windows environments, such as Windows XP Mode, from your Windows 7 desktop). It slows the software down and may not be good for Plasma. I've used it for some old software.
I did a lot of searching and could not find specifics to your question. I take it from your question it is not working.

Does it work with windows 7?

That depends on which vesrion of windows 7 you have ?

The basic versions of windows 7 do not generally alow every program to be run that was designed for an earlier version of windows.

HOWEVER
I have found no problems running any application at all so far even if it was intended for an earlier version of windows.

The home premium version of win 7 is the lowest and may on rare occasion cough and spluter when running XP/vista apps.

In my tests sometimes the installation does fail but windows 7 then takes over and asks if I want to re-install using corrected setting.

If I let it do that then the installation has always worked.
