SOURCE: Back tire replacement

Before doing anything else, loosen the rear wheel and make sure the axle is fully seated in the dropouts, then tighten it. The brake should not be able to contact the tire, only the rim.

Not sure from what is here what kind of bike and brand of brakes or derailleurs you have.

You could always Google it. There are lots of how-to's with illustrations out there. For example, "shimano rear brake adjustment" finds a whole bunch of advise.

I have a Schwin Solution FS AL mountain bike. I would like to put road tires on it. It now has 50-507 (24X1.95) on the side wall of the knobby tires. What road tire would fit?

I have done a similar thing with my mountain bike. The first number is the size of your wheel. The second number is how thick your tire is. You can get any road tire that has a "24" in the first number of the 24X***. Depending on the number after the 'X' you will probably need to get an inner tube that falls within that size. Most of the inner tubes will have a range for that second number. If the number is too large the inner tube will not fit inside the road tire.

Flat tire

A bicycle repair shop should be able to tell you the tube size if you provide the tire size markings on the sidewall of the tire.

Hello, i have one of these bikes, and need to know what type of tube i need. it came with a flat, and i am trying to find a tube, but not sure what i need. can you tell me what type of stem it has. ...

The tube has two elements to it, the size and the valve.

The size of the tube will correspond to the size on the tire. Look right on the side of the tire something like 26 x 2.0 or 700c x 23c will be written on the tire. both of these numbers tell you what size tube

The Valve is easier: you either have a Schraeder or a Presta. The Schraeder is the same as on a car the Presta is a thin metal tube with a tip you have to unscrew.

What size tires & where should I get for best price

Good Evening, the place I would tell you to go is discount tire company, they are a good nationwide company and I have always been happy with their service and prices. Keep in mind that your tire size depending on what model you have can be different, usually they are a 235 75 r15 if memory serves me right. You may take a moment and look at the sidewall of your tires for similar numbers. Hope this helps.

Just bought bike and now the rear tire is flat, do i need to replace the inner tube or can it be fixed another way. what size tube do i need to replace it.

I recommend replacing the inner tube, the size is on your tire. I think that you should pay to have it done at a repair shop if it has gears, it will be worth it in the long run

Flat rear tire

A bike shop may be able to help you. Maybe you could just repair the tube with a tube repair kit, available anywhere bicycle accessories are sold.
