I have three questions to ask:
    1. Have you checked for viruses, adware, and spyware?
    2. How much space do you have left in your hard drives Local Disc C: and Local Disc D:? It could be you have little. This is unlikely though.
    3. And how much RAM do you have and which Operating System are you using?

Check for registry errors, I had a computer doing the same thing and it was because of a corrupted registry. If you want to read more here is some good info - http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com

How do I change from aol to bt internet

BT Infinity and BT Broadband

I think this might be what you are refering to. BT is an Internet Service Provider (ISP). AOL is a digital media service. (meaning they don't provide Internet, they offer things like Email, Instant Messaging, etc.)

Which company do you recieve your Internet from currently? (someone like Comcast, Time Warner, etc.)

Why is my computer running slow and why is it taking me so long to open my searches.

If you want a faster computer, disable unused Windows features like Windows aero and hibernate feature.
Update your Windows system and your antivirus once a week.
Make sure you scan your computer.
Disable unused start up program to make your computer start faster.
Enable boot defrag.
I recomended you to use Advanced System Care from IOBIT, or any tune up program to maintain your computer more easily.

Episodes of shows start and stop a lot on the computer.

You can disable the notices for script problems by looking on windows and Internet options.
As for the stops and starts that is often caused by a slow internet speed. Check you speed with one of the many free speed testers.
Don't switch off your router, leave it running. If you switch it off the provider will slow your broadband down, thinking you have a fault on the system.
Finally check to see if your broadband is working correctly. Have a word with your provider if you think it is slowing down.

Internet speed slow

You can do multiple things to improve the speed of your computer's internet.
  • Try using a different browser, such as Google Chrome, Chromium, or Firefox.
  • Upgrade your internet speeds with your internet service provider (Time Warner cable, road runner, or the like)
  • Buy and install a better processor.
  • Buy and install more/better RAM.
  • Uninstall programs you rarely or never use.
  • Run a registry cleaner.

I purchased a new computer from Dell desktop Studio XPS 7100 I use Road runner internet...I want to run 2 desk tops at the same time.. is it better to get a router from Time Warner or buy it frim Dell?

It doesn't make much difference the brand of the router that you decide to get, just look into the specific model of router to make sure that it is compatible with your specific Dell system

I have recently moved from Pittsburgh, PA to Charleston, SC. My linksys Wireless G 2.4 gHz router worked great with the ISP in Pittsburg (Comcast). Now, with Time Warner's Road Runner, I get an error and I...

Connect your main cmoputer directly to the time warner modem. make sure that your computer will be able to go on line when connected directly to the modem. If not then call Time warner.
If your computer is able to go on line when connected to the modem then your modem is working properly. You will need to change the settings of the router.
First reset the router for 30 seconds. On the router you will find a small reset button. Hold it down for 30 seconds. release it. wait for 1 minute. now unplug the power to the router and plug it back in. wait for 30 seconds till the power light on the router will be solid.
Now connect the modem and the computer to the router.
Now you will need to clone the MAC address of your main computer to the router. you will neeed to open the set up page of the router.
once your main computer is online , you can change the wireless settings of the router and connect to the wireless network on the laptop.
