SOURCE: Indesit Washing Machine not proceedding with the cycle programme after filling with water.

Cant understand how the machine will revolve on the 'spin cycle' & yet you can hear the motor on the 'wash cycle' but yet it doesnt revolve!!
Nomally if the water fills, & the tub revolves without the programmer advancing, its because the heater is not working. ie faulty thermostat, heat element, or maybe a wire burned off in the 'heater circuit'. Check if you have 240 volts at both ends of the heat element, with a meter or 240 volt bulb
                         !! BE CAREFUL OF 240VOLTS!!

SOURCE: indesit w93 washing machine fills with water but doesn't start washing

Hi there. I have an old model, the indesit WM12. Never counted the flashing light (yours was 10) but my dial started clicking constantly at the drain part. I called Idesit and they told me it was a blockage in the filter.
The filter they speak of it located, on mine, at the front of the machine at the very bottom on the right. It is a black dial about 3 - 4 inches in diameter. Unscrew that anti-clockwise (a real pain because so much water comes out. My wife and I unscrewed it, filled a baking tray with water, screwed it back up, emptied / substituted tray then same all over again - until empty. Though putting it on drain again and again helped at same time). When I pulled out the filter found a 'colour catcher' sheet in it. We used them first time ever the other day. Removed that, gave filter a wee clean and, hey presto, all is working again. Hope that helps. Jim

SOURCE: washing machine drive belt keeps coming off

Try putting some locktite on the thread of the bolt. Loctite is a liquid you can buy to lock bolts into there threads.Alternativley the pulley that the belt runs on may be worn & sloppy in the centre where it goes on the metal shaft.you may need a new pulley as well as Loctite..but try the Loctite first.

Wib111 drains but not spinning, also repeating cycle

Check your fault codes. I have had to raise the discharge hose to 1" to 1 1/2" above the back of the washer, then connect to the drain tube. Height of the discharge hose can cause cycle to not operate properly, like fill and drain at the same time and won't cycle properly.

Indesit wib111 leaking from pump

This that unscrews is a filter cover, it does have to come out and will be restricted by something thats blocking it, without being too forceful it will have to be removed so the "catch area" can be cleared of objects, like pins and maybe a sock, then the cover can be screwed back in and made secure to stop it leaking (engineer of 20 years experience)

My indesit wib111 wont go ignto o spin cycle or empty.it fills and washes ok

Washing Machines do not spin when filled with water for obvious reasons. Have you checked the filter? this could be blocked with a build of fluff etc.
Can you hear the pump running when it is supposed to be emptying. This means there is a blockage. Can you hear a "humming" This means the pump is jamed, may be a coin or some other small item. If there is no sound then the pump is most likely at fault.

We've got an Indesit WIB111, had it for about a year an a half and the motors started sparking form the inside when the drum turns. Now its clicking and not turning at all

Hi Tony from retired Englishman in SW France,

It does sound as if the motor requires replacement. It is not uncommon to find that the brushes are worn sufficiently for them to not make perfect contact with the commutator at the higher speeds- bouncing and sparking. Now, a word or two of advice from this retired Englishman in SW France. It might be suggested that just the brushes on the motor want changing; experience (of others) suggests that they may only last months rather than many years UNLESS the motor itself is refurbished. Refurbishment includes skimming the commutator on which the brushes run. Without skimming the brushes do not sit cleanly on the commutator (like the worn ones!), often causing excessive sparking and excessive wear on BOTH. Alternately a new motor! I changed the motor on our 19+ year-old Bosch at a cost of GBP250 ;-0(
The choice of course is entirely up to you- but do not forget that it is not an uncommon fault, especially if the washer is not exactly new. Others I have given this advice to have chosen new brushes and I don't blame them!
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C
