Skip the Supermicro board. The cheapest used X5DA8 available at the moment is $800. If you need a dual Xeon capable motherboard, go with Asus Z9PE-D8 WS SSI EEB. It's cheaper and runs faster DDR3.

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

Need working X5DA8 SuperMicro Motherboard

Looks like a good idea, except for one small factor;

In the FixYa T.O.S. it states there is no buying, or selling on FixYa,

HOWEVER, there are plenty of other websites, where this is allowed.

If FixYa allowed selling, and buying of products in the product problem/solution area; there would be no room for problems, and their solutions.

(FixYa would be more like Craigslist, or Ebay. Not the world's largest product support website)

I bought "GH22NS50 22X Internal

Have you tried going into your control panel and used the Add Hardware wizard? Hopefully, that is all it will take to fix the problem. Otherwise, I would probably use your 1 year limited warranty letting them know that your Windows XP would not recognize the drive.

There are currently production shortages and non are available but some should free up in the next 8 to 12 weeks on the top end. Just keep shopping around to some sites that do list them. Also try searching google for some new merchant you may not know. I found quite a few with the search term: SuperMicro X5DA8 server motherboard

IF, and I stress IF, you decide you simply want to replace the motherboard, get one that matches your processor socket, and be super careful when removing, cleaning, and replacing it.
The question will be, will your new motherboard fit in your case. Simply get one with similar specs as your current one.
most MSI products fit inside of an acer case though.
