SOURCE: STATUS LIGHT YELLOW, LAMP LIGHT GREEN: TV TURNS OFF.

Actually, I think I found the problem. I took the light out and cleaned the filter (screen) on the light cartridge. I turned the tv back on and it still gave me the message. As the tv was still on, I tapped on the fan that sends air directly to the light cartridge and the message went away. About 2 days later, I got the message back but went I shook the tv and tapped it on the stand a few times, it worked. I think that particular fan is going out and seems to be a problem with other tv's as well. Any ideas where I can buy a fan? Hope this helps you all out.

I have a Kenmore dryer Model 1.10 60902990 that keeps tripping the thermal cut-off fuse (part #3398671 or substitution part #279769) after running for about 5 minutes. I have checked the high limit...

this will keep popping if the dryer is running to hot,if the cycling thermostat is bad the dryer can do this or something is blocking the air flow.if you have a long vent line most likely this is the problem, also you have to remove the metal duct that the lint filter slides down into and clean that out.if your vent line is long try running the dryer with the vent line removed from the back of the dryer, also when you remove the vent line stick a leaf blower into the vent line and blow it out to the outside, but like i say all a dryer does is move air and if the air doesn't move out of the dryer and it runs to hot the t-stat will blow as a safetygo here and check out the cycling thermostat http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Cycling-Thermostat/8318268/904589#repairHelpVideoTabs
and replace the 279769 and try running it with the vent line off the back of dryer, also when you take off the metal duct that the lint filter slides into spin the drum and make sure the blower wheel is spinning,if the blower wheel is bad and can't move air this can happen but usually something is in the vent line.let me know what you find, thanks

The dryer is not drying as good as it should be and it will display the following letters AF

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Your AF error code is most likely an "Air-Flow error. Long drying times are ALWAYS cvaused by poor air-flow in a dryer.

Since you did not include a "Make and Model number" this reponse is generic.

The causes are many.
1. Go outside and check the thru the wall dryer duct flapper. Make sure it is free of lint.
2. Pull the lint filter and wash it with vinegar. The water then soap and water with a very good fresh water rinse.
3. Inspect the area where the lint filter is installed for any signs of lint build up. Use a crevice tool and a stretched out and folded in half wire coat hanger (Looped) to reach deep onto the lint build up areas so you can remove the lint with a crevice tool and Vacuum.
4. Remove the vent duct from the back of the dryer and check the air-flow. The air-flow should push a relaxed hand / wrist gently away from the dryer vent hole with the dryer on. If you do not get this kind of aor flow you will need to ensure all of the lint has been removed from the internal dryer ducting. If your sure the ducting is clear and you stil have poor air-flow then most likely the blower wheel has failed, Most of the time the center hub will crack and the blower wheel will not turn at full speed. Other times a fan blade breaks and blocks the ducting.
5. Use a flash light and look into the vent duct hole on the back of the dryer. Check for a restricted duct. Clean as necessary.
The above are the most common reasons for higher electric bills and long drying times.
Have a 2nd person look for lint after your done cleaning! The more eyes the better.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Freezer part works fine, but the refrid won't cool?

The freezer is the only place that has cooling coils (condensor) the ref side steals air by way of a fan and duct from the fzr side. But in my experience the fzr i the last to go when an ref is low on freon. Also make sure the external coils are clean and the fan is running on the external side (if equip) coils are usually under the ref if it has a fan and is accessed on the bottom back by removing a cardboard access usually black. This cardboard looks flimsy but it is very important to reinstall it. It directs the air flow across the coils. after removing this you can plug your ref up to make sure the external fan kicks on with the compressor if not the fan is bad and needs to be replaced. always be careful with electricity...

Air conditioning fan makes loud noise the faster you ru it.

Concerning your broken vent -- this can be caused by a broken linkage or a malfunctioning servo motor as well. these vent have air ducts the sway back and forth to adjust the dual air flow function. if the servo o linkages are malfunctioning or not connected for some reason, it will not allow total control of the air flow and temperature range. Now, if you have a combination of a flow error and temperature error as well, thai can be caused by a combination of the two.

In this case, you will need to inspect the linkages as well as the servo motor function as well. in addition, i would test the air temp sensors for there operational value. they control the temp when you adjust the coll or hot function.

Concerning the Loud noise coming from the blower fan---

This issue can be caused by a misalignment within the blower housing or, it can also be caused by some minor damage within the motor itself, causing it to rotate in a erratic manner, in return, forcing it to rub against the housing itself. the best solution here is to extract this blower fan housing and inspect for lose fan propeller and motor stability. replace parts accordingly.

PLease rate and have a great day:)

It takes three cycles to dry clothes, andthere is heat?

The most likely cause is poor airflow. This may be due to a clogged lint screen (should be cleaned after each load) or a clogged vent. Run the dryer empty and feel the airflow from the vent outlet (where the vent exits the house). If there isn't a good strong flow of air, remove the duct where it attaches to the dryer and check for flow right at the dryer. If there still isn't good flow you may have a bad blower, but chances are the duct is clogged with lint. If it's the white plastic flexible duct or the corrugated metal kind you should replace it with solid 4-inch vent pipe. This will give the best airflow and the smooth walls won't promote lint buildup.

Kenmore 64942300 Electric Dryer runs, no heat

This may seem too simple of an answer based on your extensive troubleshooting thus far, but the most common reason for cold air running of any electric dryer is a broken heater coil. This is simply a coil of wire that is heated to warm the air in the fan duct. These often overheat and break if the vent duct is blocked, too long, or has odd bends that can restrict flow. Recommend replacing heater coil and use smooth wall vent pipe. Avoid coil type flexible duct.

I have a large capacity front load LG electric dryer. I keep getting the "check filter" message & the filters are clean. The dryer will not stay on. HELP!

The message does not only refer to filters, badly written.
There is an air flow restriction that the machine senses and is warning about.
check the fan and fan housing for lint that has got past the screens, then pull the dryer away from the wall and check the exhaust duct for lint, all the way to the wall
then check the outside wall vent for lint build up in the rodent screen

Sony SXRD Projection TV

I have the 50" SXRD TV and have expereienced many of the same problems as other owners. Sony replaced the optical block at no charge after the screen yellowing effect took place. Recently, I have the TV shut down with the flashing red light blinking in sequences of 4. After unplugging the TV for a few minutes, replugging it, and turning it back on, it worked again. However, this was not a pemanent solution as the problem returned. After reading several posts here, I turned the TV to look into the fans and voila, the one on the left was not spinning.

I took the back off of the TV (9 screws) and took apart the fan housing to vacuum everything. In addition, I vacummed everything else I could see. After putting it back together, the problem was solved. Save yourself a repair call. Get out a phillips screwdriver and a vacuum cleaner. Thanks to the posters on this site!!

. Set shuts off after displaying the message "TV will shut down in a few seconds. Please check if the air flow is blocked." After shutdown, it may have a yellow status LED, self diagnostics indicates error code 38. To repair, replace the Lamp Thermal Sensor with the new version, part # 299P313010A. The sensor is located on the Lamp Cartridge Housing. See Service Tip VS-72B. Under rare circumstances, when a replacement thermal sensor is not available, refer to the original Service Tip, VS-72 (page 2 and 3 of VS-72B) If error 3-4 then this maybe problem:.
