You will find the manual here. The radio is part of the 280 series radios, so there is a general manual on all in that series.

This one should be a very close match. The T4508 is a foreign version of the T4500.

SOURCE: The battery is fully charged

Your batteries are either no good, or not charged. When you press the PTT button it takes more energy than being in standby mode. If you have a battery problem it will fail quickly when the PTT is pressed.

Rechargeable batteries last approx. 18-24 months. Check your battery for a 3-digit date code. It is usually a 3 digit number followed by a couple of letters. The numbers tell the date of manufacture. The first number is the year, followed by the week of the year. 025 would be 2010 the 25th week. (or if very old it could be 2000 the 25th week.)

If you feel age is not a problem, you might check your charger(s) to see they are fully powered, and clear of debris on the contacts (and the radio contacts as well). Clean with a pencil eraser if needed.

A few tips: Be certain when placing your radios on the charge they are turned off. Check your wall outlet to be certain it doesn't get shut off with a light switch. Expect to replace your batteries every 2-3 years.

Best regards.

NOT WORKING 2 WAYS ONE SET SEND AND RECIVE ANOTHER ONE ONLY RECIEVE MOTOROLA WALKIE TALKIE fcc id k7GSX900 UPDATE

Check your programming. It is possible one of them has a different PL (aka code or interference eliminator code) than the others. Here is a link to the user guide page where you can select your model from the pulldown. http://shop.giantintl.com/Manuals.asp Look at the section about programming and turn off any special features, taking your radio back to a very basic mode, matching all setting between the radios. This should make your radios communication easily together. If not, you may have one bad radio in the mix.

Best regards.

Can i connect an antenna, lets say 200ft in the air to motorola FCC ID:K7GMJBGJ

Hi,

It is Possible, but not recommended.

By the way when you post a query, always Give the following info:

Make & Model of your radio

Giving the FCC ID is of no value here.

Cheers,
Peter

I got a Cobra cxt275 for Christmas and i can't get the maximum range i can't get 4 miles with it is there a way to change it that i can get 20 miles like it says in the owners manual

Yes you can. If youre using it on certain channels (using the FRS frequencies) you will only get about 4 miles. FRS stands for "Family Radio Service". If you use the GMRS frequencies it will broadcast at higher watts (verses lower watts on FRS). GMRS stands for "General Mobile Radio Service" which you need a license to broadcast over. frequencies for both can be found here: http://gmrsfrequencies.com/gmrs-frequencies-chart.html

However to go on the channels that use GMRS you need a FCC call sign or ID license. you must call out your ID number every 15 minutes to be allowed to broadcast any sort of transmission or you can be fined or jailed (so they say). People sometimes dont obey those rules and the FCC will sometimes geo locate your transmissions and pin point your exact location. A 1st offense can be light to severe depending on what you're doing (pirating radio, blabbing, misusing the channels, using it without a license, using too many call tones, abuse, etc.)
Im guessing you might not understand this in the first place. when you buy radio walkie talkies, they all say inside the manual that you need a FCC license to operate it on GMRS mode, IF its GMRS compatible which today most walkie talkies are. a set of channels is designated for GMRS use and regular use of a walkie talkie has a set of channels it uses for your goofing around or just experimenting.
hope this helps.
